After enjoying a delicious early breakfast at your hotel in Kigali, you'll meet your driver-guide, who will take you on an exciting journey to Bukavu, the charming capital of the South Kivu Province in Congo. Along the way, you'll pass through the beautiful Nyungwe Forest National Park, where you can soak in the stunning scenery. -Arrive in Rusizi -Cross the border to Congo, as sleeping on the Rwanda side can delay you in a long line in the morning at the immigration office for your entry visa stamp and cause you to lose the opportunity to see gorillas. You'll arrive in Bukavu by late afternoon, and then we'll head to your hotel for a cosy dinner and a restful overnight stay.

Lowland Gorilla Tracking in Kahuzi Biega National Park
After an early breakfast at 6:00 AM, you will be transferred to the headquarters of Kahuzi Biega National Park to begin your trekking adventure. You will trek for 2 to 3 hours through the mountainous jungle area of the park in search of the large lowland gorilla family. You will encounter Eastern lowland gorillas, quite different from the more famous mountain gorillas found in Virunga National Park. Unlike the smaller, chimpanzee-like lowland gorillas found in Gabon and Congo Brazzaville, the Kahuzi Biega gorillas are large and comparable in size to mountain gorillas, so you won’t be disappointed. In the late afternoon, you will be transferred back to Kigali -Drop you at your Hotel—end of the tour.
