Ideally positioned to explore the magnificence of the Okavango Delta, Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp is located on an exclusive 25,000-hectare (61,775-acre) wildlife concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp is known for its elegant tented accommodation, boasting breathtaking views of mature mopane woodlands and seasonally flooded grasslands. 9 tented suites set on raised wooden platforms are cradled under a canopy of towering ebony trees, each spacious unit features a luxurious bed, an extended private veranda complete with a shaded sitting area, a hanging daybed, and Delta outlooks. You will experience a water and wildlife adventure between the lagoons and channels of the Delta and the Okavango floodplains. You will explore the Nxabega wilderness on day and night safaris, bush walks, mokoro (dugout canoe) and powerboat cruises. Xaranna nestles deep in the heart of Botswana’s game-rich Okavango. With sweeping views onto a seasonal lagoon, the camp enjoys luxurious solitude on its own Delta Island, within a 90,500-hectare (223,630-acre) wildlife concession. 9 ensuite safari tents luxuriously combine canvas, soft drapes and timber. The romantic outdoor 'sala', private plunge pool, indoor bathtub and al fresco shower add to the charm. You'll glide through a maze of opaque lagoons on traditionally made mokoro boats. You'll discover the Delta, sitting centimetres above the water as you silently pass by unsuspecting wildlife. The Delta is a secluded network of waterways. You'll encounter grazing herds of elephants, red lechwe on palm islands, crocodiles and hippos wading nearby under the watchful eye of the elegant African fish eagle. Game drives are remote and secluded and afternoon drives continue after sunset, with the chance of seeing elusive species like leopards and servals.
