Sossusvlei
You will arrive at Windhoek Airport, and transfer by light aircraft to Little Kulala in the 27,000 ha Kulala wilderness, a pristine reserve located in Namibia’s Namib, nicknamed ‘the living desert.’ Sossusvlei is where you will find the iconic red sand dunes of the Namib. Totally solar-powered, the camp opens out onto the desert with its 11 climate-controlled suites, each with its own plunge pool. You'll float above the world’s oldest desert in a hot air balloon, and see it come alive on nature walks, game drives, e-bikes, or low-impact quad bikes. You will spot desert-adapted wildlife such as ostriches, springbok, gemsbok, brown hyenas, black-backed jackals, bat-eared foxes, an aardwolf, or the endemic dune lark. Aside from the attractions at Sossusvlei Dune 45, Hiddenvlei, Big Daddy and Deadvlei, other attractions include the Sesriem Canyon and Namib-Naukluft National Park, where the mountains of the Namib meet the plains.

Serra Cafema and Home of the Himba Tribe
The Kaokoveld is a dry, mountainous and relatively undeveloped region that takes in the harsh beauty of the Skeleton Coast and the coppery sands of the northern Namib Desert. The area is inhabited by three main ethnic groups—the Damara, Herero and Himba people—each with their unique customs, traditions and rituals. Serra Cafema consists of 8 riverside Meru-style canvas and thatched villas on spacious, elevated decks blended smoothly into the picturesque surroundings. Activities here are many and varied, including traversing sand dunes, boating on the river, walking in remote valleys, enjoying breathtaking landscapes, as well as carefully guided quad-bike excursions that tread lightly on the dunes. Nearby native Namibian Himba families often pass through the camp, providing guests with the opportunity to learn about their lifestyle and traditions.
