Today, feeling well-rested and rejuvenated from a good night sleep, you will wake up and leave for Ntwetwe Pans, part of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, to search for the meerkats of the Kalahari.
The Meerkat interaction
By visiting the Makgadikgadi landscape, you are being presented with a unique opportunity to interact with the habituated meerkats of the Kalahari. These charming meerkats will inquisitively look out onto the plains of the desert, noses firmly in the air, eager to touch base with willing visitors. The habitual meerkats are not tame, but will gladly snuggle up to travellers on chilly mornings or climb atop heads that are promptly used as viewing posts to aid in later foraging excursions.
After the meerkat experience, you will head to Kasane. We expect to arrive in Kasane in the late afternoon and will drive straight to your lodge to check in. You will spend a total of two (2) nights at this lodge.

Exploring Chobe
Exploring Chobe
You will leave your lodge in the morning and head to Chobe for a safari drive.
Chobe is the ultimate haven for vast herds of elephant – as many as 120,000 of the animals depend on the Chobe River’s life–sustaining waterways when the dry season kicks in.
Other resident game species are zebra, wildebeest, the rare puku, roan and sable antelopes. Chobe is actually one of the best places to see and photograph Roan and Sable Antelopes. Also, large herds of buffalo are found along the Chobe riverfront, often grazing on the islands, crossing from one island to the other or back to the mainland. These are constantly flanked by the ever–hungry lions of the Chobe.
Chobe River boat cruise
The highlight today is a boat cruise in the Chobe River. This boat cruise gives you a chance to experience the animals of Chobe from another perspective. You might, therefore, get up close and personal with hippos, crocodiles and a mind–boggling array of water birds.
