Rise early for a thrilling descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact caldera and home to around 30,000 animals, including the Big Five. In the afternoon, continue to the Ndutu/South Serengeti, famed for the calving season of the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeest are born and predators lurk nearby. Today, journey north through the Serengeti on a thrilling game drive. In migration season, witness the dramatic Mara River crossing, as thousands of wildebeest and zebras brave the waters in a breathtaking display of survival. By evening, arrive at Africa Safari Maasai Boma Lodge, set in Ololosokwan village. Inspired by a traditional Maasai homestead, the lodge offers a unique cultural experience, with wildlife still roaming nearby even outside the park’s borders.

Drive to Lake Natron

After breakfast, travel through remote northern Serengeti landscapes to Lake Natron, across Maasai land with scattered bomas and dramatic mountains. From June to November, witness up to two million flamingos at the lake. Stop at natural hot springs en route, then arrive at Africa Safari Lake Natron. Relax by the pool with stunning views of Mount Ol Doinyo Lengai, or take a short guided walk to the lake to enjoy the breathtaking scenery and wildlife.

This morning, set out on an adventurous hike in Ngare Sero waterfalls with a Maasai guide, who will share insights into their traditions as you pass nearby villages. After soaking in the beauty of the falls, enjoy lunch before heading to Mto wa Mbu, a lively town at the entrance of Lake Manyara. You’ll spend the night at Africa Safari Manyara Escarpment, where you can unwind with a swim, enjoy the serene setting, and prepare for the next day’s safari adventure.

Today, journey to Lake Manyara National Park, renowned for its stunning views, waterfalls, clear streams, and hot springs. On a full-day game drive, discover elephants, hippos, giraffes, buffaloes, and over 400 bird species. With luck, you may even spot the park’s legendary tree-climbing lions. In the afternoon, we drive back to Arusha or Arusha Airport, arriving before dinner, where you can reflect on the unforgettable sights and experiences of your safari. An additional transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport can be arranged for an extra cost.
