Day 2

After breakfast, set out for Tarangire National Park, known as the “home of the elephants.” This park offers breathtaking scenery, dominated by towering baobab trees and sweeping savannahs. Awake to the magical sounds of the Serengeti and set out for a full day of game viewing in the Central Serengeti, an area famed for its year-round abundance of wildlife. The Seronera Valley, often called the “heartbeat of the Serengeti,” is home to sprawling plains, acacia woodlands, and winding rivers that attract an incredible diversity of animals. Lions bask on the kopjes, leopards drape themselves across shady branches, and cheetahs prowl the open grasslands in search of prey. Elephants, giraffes, and buffalo roam in large numbers, while hippos and crocodiles thrive along the riverbanks. Bird enthusiasts will delight in spotting everything from ostriches striding the plains to colorful lilac-breasted rollers. With a picnic lunch enjoyed in the wild, you’ll have the flexibility to cover different habitats and maximize your wildlife encounters. As the sun sets, casting golden hues over the plains, return to your camp or lodge to relax.

Set out From Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Set out From Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, depart from the Serengeti and drive toward the Ngorongoro Crater for a spectacular game drive. Descend 600 meters into the crater, a natural wonder teeming with wildlife — including elephants, lions, hippos, buffaloes, and the rare black rhino. Enjoy your picnic lunch at the hippo pool while surrounded by incredible views of the crater floor.
In the afternoon, ascend the crater rim and continue your journey to Karatu, where you will check in at Hando Coffee Lodge / Eileen’s Trees Inn for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart from Karatu and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for your final game drive. Nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley, this small but beautiful park is renowned for its lush groundwater forests, tree-climbing lions, large elephant herds, and the shimmering lake. Enjoy your game drive along the varied landscapes — from acacia woodlands to open plains — while spotting giraffes, zebras, hippos, and colorful birdlife.
In the afternoon, exit the park and begin your drive back to Arusha, arriving in the early evening. Reflect on the unforgettable memories of your safari as you travel through the scenic highlands and vibrant local villages.
