2-Day Mikumi Park Safari Trip by Sgr Train

Dar- es Salaam – Mikumi National Park

You'll wake up early and eat breakfast before departing Dar es Salaam for Mikumi Park either from your hotel, airport or ferry and transfer to the Express Train Terminal for train to Morogoro. Upon arrival you will meet our guide waiting in Morogoro Train Terminal for the departure to Mikumi 1hrs drive, you will go on a game drive until sunset and then spend the night at Mikumi Bastian Camp. You will be able to see elephant, lion, wild dog, zebra, hyena, buffalo, wildebeest, eland, hartebeest, crocodile and lizard. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park! All meals will be at Camp Bastian Mikumi by the Express Train.

You'll enjoy early morning breakfast and then leave the camp for a game drive. Morning is the best time for game viewing because the animals are most active during this time. Our professional guide is always happy to share with you the hidden secrets in Mikumi. Such secrets include why Mikumi will never die, how Darwin’s theory (survival of the fittest) applies in the area and much, much more. Late afternoon, you will drive to the exit gate and make your way back to Dar es Salaam, watching for game along the way drop off in your hotel / hostel, airport or ferry to Zanzibar.
