Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel at 7:00 am and driven west to Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch, check in to Jambo Mara Safari Lodge, have your lunch, and proceed for an evening game drive. The Masai Mara National Reserve is Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Although July, August, and September are the months when the Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year-round. The famous Maasai tribesmen live within the dispersal area of the game reserve. Your dinner and overnight accommodations will be at the lodge.

Masai Mara National Reserve - Visit Masai Village

After breakfast, you will proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya, as it has an extensive road and track network, which allows for close-range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodiles. You'll continue with the game drive till evening, when you will exit the park and drive back to the lodge to relax and freshen up. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the Jambo Mara Lodge.

Masai Mara - Nairobi

You'll wake up relaxed and fresh, have your breakfast at leisure, and the driver-guide will pick you up and take you to the Masai village visit, where you sing with the Masai and engage in their dance. They also show you their homestead and way of life. You get to learn how to light a fire without using a matchstick or a lighter. At around 8:30 am, you'll leave the region headed back to Nairobi. The estimated arrival time is 4:00 pm. You'll be dropped off at the airport or hotel.
