Fly from Entebbe Airport to Bwindi National Park (Kisoro Airport)

Take your flight from Entebbe International Airport to Kisoro, Bwindi National Park (departure from Entebbe at 7:00am). The flight from Entebbe to Kisoro will take about an hour. A Bamboo Ecotours guide will pick you up from Kisoro Airstrip and drive you to the lodge for check-in. You can opt to do optional activities such as canoeing at Lake Mutanda, a coffee-making experience, and Batwa cultural tour in the afternoon. Kihihi airport, located in the Kanungu district, also operates direct flights from Entebbe to Bwindi national park. Kihihi airport is best suited when trekking gorillas in Ruhija and Buhoma sectors.

Gorilla Trekking Adventure at Bwindi National Park

The day starts with an early morning breakfast followed by a short drive to the Bwindi National Park gate immediately after breakfast to get a briefing about the gorilla trek. The national park guide will conduct the presentation covering the basics of what to expect during the gorilla trek. The national guide will assign the gorilla trekking group during the pre-trekking briefing. Other visitors will likely join you. The gorilla trek can take a few hours, depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forest. After the gorilla trek, return to the lodge for a much-deserved rest.

Fly from Bwindi National Park (Kisoro Airport) to Entebbe Airport

A Bamboo Ecotours guide will pick you up from the lodge at 6:00am and drive you to Kisoro Airport. Take an early morning AeroLink flight from Kisoro Airport to Entebbe International Airport. The flight from Kisoro to Entebbe will take about an hour and will arrive at Entebbe airport around 11:25am.
