At 06h30 the scheduled transfer departs from Johannesburg (OR Tambo) Airport in comfortable 14-seater vehicles to Hoedspruit. It is a 6-hour drive to the Balule Game Reserve Gate where we meet you, your safari starts now with a 8km game drive to the private game lodge
Arrive at this oasis around midday to a warm welcome and a cold drink. A light lunch is served looking out over the reserve, with a view over a well-frequented waterhole
In the late afternoon, arm yourself with binoculars and cameras and set off with your ranger in an open Landcruiser. Follow bush roads through our reserve in search of the many animals that make this area home including the big five. After a stop for a sun-downer drink return to the lodge after dark with the use of spotlights
Dinners are a social affair, with guests mingling with their hosts and enjoy fireside cuisine with an African influence.
Retire to your comfortable room for some rest and to prepare yourself for the excitement of the next day.

Day 2
Enjoy a early morning and late afternoon game drive and relaxing day at the private game lodge

Early morning wakeup call (+- 05h00) and a welcome cup of hot coffee before going on the morning game drive with your ranger and returning to the lodge 3 hours later and a hearty breakfast will be ready for you.
After breakfast, freshen up then enjoy the lodge surroundings. Relax by spending time in or around the swimming pool or sit on the deck and wait and see which animals or birds come to the riverbed at the lodge or have a siesta in your suite.
Enjoy lunch looking out over the reserve.
Late afternoon is "safari time" again. Meet your ranger and depart on the afternoon-evening game drive, stop in the bush for sundowners watching the splendor of the African sun setting over the mountains. Drinks are accompanied by snacks and some South African specialties.
After the sunset, stop the drive is continued with the aid of spotlights looking for any nocturnal animals not yet spotted.
Returning after your adventure to the lodge, for a delicious dinner under the African sky.

Your morning begins with a gentle wake-up call and freshly brewed cup of coffee. The crisp morning air carries the distant calls of wildlife, signaling the start of one last thrilling game drive. Along the way, you’ll pause for a scenic coffee break in the wild, enjoying both the warmth of your drink and the breathtaking surroundings.
After returning to the lodge, a delicious, hearty breakfast awaits, giving you time to reflect on the unforgettable encounters of the past days. The shuttle will stop twice for refreshment breaks on the journey back and will arrive at Johannesburg (OR Tambo) Airport between 17h30 to 18h00.
