1-Day Okavango Delta Mokoro Safari

• A transfer from the airport can be arranged for an extra cost.

We will pick you up from your lodge in the morning and head for the southern tip of the Okavango Delta to meet with experienced mokoro polers(guides).

Enjoy breakfast consisting of coffee/tea, juice, cereals, rusks, fruits, etc. before the start of your mokoro safari. Then spend the next few hours gliding quietly in a mokoro along the Okavango Delta’s papyrus–fringed waterways to one of its many islands selected by your poler on this day trip. On your way expect to be rewarded with splendid sightings of a variety of bird life among the more than 400 species that occur in this watery wonderland.

Once on this island you will set off on foot, on a 3–hour guided safari walk in the Okavango Delta. Expect to encounter a fantastic variety of large game during these safari walks such as elephants, hippos, giraffes, zebras, etc.

At the end of your safari walk your guide will find a nice spot where you will enjoy your packed lunch. Return to Maun after lunch where your safari officially ends.
