Wake up early for an exciting game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. As you explore the park's vast savannah, look out for a variety of wildlife, including reedbuck, bushbuck, Uganda kob, warthogs, elephants, lions, and buffaloes, among many others. Alternatively, you may choose to embark on the Queen’s scenic explosion crater drive, which offers stunning views of the park’s volcanic craters.

Afterward, return to the lodge for some rest and a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a 2-hour boat trip along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lakes George and Edward. This scenic boat ride provides an excellent opportunity to observe wildlife up close, including giant hippos, elephants, and crocodiles. You'll also spot a variety of bird species along the shores, adding to the beauty of the experience.

After the boat trip, you can opt for a brief late afternoon game drive before returning to the lodge to unwind and enjoy a peaceful evening.

Gorilla tracking and transfer to Kigali

You will head to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park gate immediately after breakfast to get a briefing about the gorilla trek. The national park guide will present what to expect during the gorilla trek. The national guide will assign the gorilla trekking group during the pre-trekking briefing. Other visitors will likely join you. The gorilla trek can take a few or many hours, depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forest.

You will return to Kigali, Rwanda, immediately after the gorilla trekking adventure at Bwindi National Park. Since gorilla trekking can sometimes take more than 5 hours, it is recommended not to book a flight out of Kigali that departs before 10 PM local time.
