Pick up From Entebbe and transfer to Bwindi

Your safari will start from Entebbe International Airport where the assigned professional tour driver-guide will receive you and then depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi is a big habitat for mountain gorillas in Uganda, harboring over 300 of them, which is almost half of the world’s gorilla population.

The drive will take you to southwest Uganda by road. You will cross the equator mark, then head to Mbarara city for lunch, thereafter pass through the hilly terrain of western Uganda into Bwindi. You will arrive and do little but just check in to your accommodation and relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience the next day.

After an early breakfast, you proceed to the briefing point at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where park rangers provide a detailed orientation on trekking guidelines and gorilla behavior. You then enter the dense, mist-covered rainforest, guided by experienced rangers as you track one of the habituated gorilla families. The trek takes 2-6 hours, but the reward is a profound, silent encounter with these gentle giants in their natural habitat.

After spending a magical hour observing the gorillas, you return to the starting point and head back to your lodge. The afternoon is yours to relax, enjoy the serene forest surroundings, and reflect on the experience. You may unwind on your terrace, enjoy lodge amenities, or simply rest as the sounds of the jungle create a peaceful backdrop.

Drive Back To Entebbe

After breakfast, you will start your journey back to Kampala. Cross the equator and have time to take photos at the equator. Buy a few souvenirs and have a quick picnic lunch. You will then drive to Entebbe Airport to catch your flights back home.
