Pickup from your hotel in Kigali and transfer to Bwindi

This day starts with your driver guide picking you up from your hotel in Kigali/Kigali International airport and embarking on an exciting road drive to the extreme south western Uganda. A stopover for lunch will be made en route. The dense rain forest of Bwindi, famous for its gorilla population, is one of the most fertile and rich in the world, being home to a variety of primates, animals, insects and exotic birds. On arrival, check in at the lodge for relaxation, Dinner and overnight stay your lodge.

Gorilla tracking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast and a briefing by a ranger guide, you will enter the gorilla sanctuary for your adventure. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular! The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you locate a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle and endangered giants is an awesome, exciting experience to be long savored.
The location of the Gorillas is unpredictable thus packed lunch is recommended for this adventure

Return to Hotel & check out for a transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach a height of (2,200 – 2,478m) but it’s the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical — you could admire them all day.

Transfer back to kigali airport

On this day, you will check out of the resort and embark on a border crossing journey from Western Uganda to Kigali city. Depending on your scheduled flight time, you may have lunch with us (There is also a possibility of an optional Kigali city tour to the Genocide museum) and later transfer to Kigali international airport, to readily catch your flight back home.
