Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be met by your local guide who will assist you with your luggage and transfer you to Arusha. The drive to your accommodation, Haradali Home, covers approximately 50 kilometers (31 miles) and takes about 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic. After check-in, you can relax and recover from your journey in the peaceful setting of this welcoming guesthouse. Dinner may be available depending on your arrival time, and you will spend the night at Haradali Home in Arusha.

Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart Arusha at 7:30 AM with a packed lunch and begin your journey to Tarangire National Park. The drive covers approximately 150 kilometers (93 miles) and takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. Enjoy a full-day game drive in the park, famous for its large elephant herds, towering baobab trees, and rich variety of wildlife. In the late afternoon, continue your journey to Karatu, located near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will check in at Ngorongoro Haradali Home for dinner and an overnight stay.

Depart Ngorongoro Haradali Home at 7:00 AM and head to the Ngorongoro Crater rim for a morning hike, enjoying panoramic views and the unique highland ecosystem. Around 10:00 AM, continue your journey toward Serengeti National Park, entering through the Naabi Hill Gate. The drive from Karatu to central Serengeti covers approximately 210 kilometers (130 miles) and takes about 5 to 6 hours, including stops and gate formalities. Upon entering the park, enjoy an en route game drive across the vast plains, rich with wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, elephants, and wildebeest. Arrive at Moyo Tented Camp in the late afternoon or early evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Spend the entire day exploring the world-renowned Serengeti National Park on a full-day game drive. With packed lunch provided, you'll venture deep into the park’s endless plains in search of the “Big Five” and witness the incredible diversity of wildlife that makes the Serengeti a top safari destination. Depending on the season, you may encounter the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras move across the savannah in search of fresh grazing. Enjoy sightings of predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as elephants, giraffes, hippos, and a wide variety of bird species. In the late afternoon, return to Moyo Tented Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Depart Serengeti National Park at 6:30 AM and begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive inside the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. The drive from central Serengeti (around Seronera) to the Ngorongoro Crater floor covers approximately 145 kilometers (90 miles) and typically takes about 3.5 to 4 hours, including time for park formalities at the Naabi Hill and Crater gates. Descend into the crater for a spectacular wildlife experience in this UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to black rhinos, lions, elephants, and an array of other animals in a unique, enclosed ecosystem. After the game drive, ascend the crater rim and continue to Karatu, where you'll arrive at Ngorongoro Haradali Home for dinner and overnight.

Today, you can enjoy a more relaxed morning at Ngorongoro Haradali Home, with the option to sleep in depending on your departure flight schedule. After breakfast or early lunch, your guide will transfer you either to Arusha or directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your onward journey. The drive from Karatu to Arusha takes approximately 2.5 hours (about 140 km), while the drive to Kilimanjaro Airport takes around 3.5 hours (about 190 km). This marks the end of your unforgettable safari experience—safe travels and karibu tena (welcome again) to Tanzania!
