Arrival at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda, meet up with your local Shoebill Safaris guide, after finalizing the formalities transfer to your hotel. Depending on the time of arrival, after checking in the hotel, birding orientation at Botanical gardens or just take a walk along the sandy beaches of Entebbe.
Enjoy the cool breeze form Lake Victoria. Dinner and overnight at ViaVia Hotel Entebbe.

Day 2

Entebbe - Kampala

Entebbe - Kampala

Breakfast and after set off to Mabamba swamp. Mabamba swamp is the closest place to Entebbe where you can see the shoebills in their natural habitat. It’s a home to several other wetland bird species apart from the shoebill Stork. Some common sightings include, African Water rail, Allen's and Purple Gallinule, Squacco, Goliath, Purple, Grey Herons, a variety of Egrets, ducks and several others.
Afternoon Kampala city tour. An evening visit to Ndeere Cultural center is quite rewarding.
Dinner and overnight at Forest Cottages.

Day 3

Kampala - Sipi Falls

Breakfast and begin the journey to Kapchorwa town and Sipi Falls area located at the base of Mount Elgon. This area is particularly famous for Bugisu Arabica Coffee produced and grown by the local farmers.
Bugisu Arabica only grows at an altitude of between 1,600 and 1,900 meters, it is the main cash crop in the area and genuinely one of the finest coffee in the world. Dinner and overnight at Lacam Lodge.

After a rather early breakfast we will go for a nature walk to the beautiful Sipi falls.
The sights and sounds of these falls are breath taking. You will be blown away and fall in love with them.
There are three series of waterfalls all located at the foothills of Mount Elgon.
Afternoon coffee tour have a chance to learn how coffee in planted, harvested and finally brewed.
Internationally this coffee is known to be the best and finest.

Wake up to the calls of early morning bird sounds of Elgon, have breakfast and drive to Kidepo Valley National Park. Kidepo lies in the rugged, semi-arid valleys between Uganda’s borders with Sudan and Kenya, some 700km from Kampala.
The park was gazetted as a national park in 1962, with a profusion of big game and hosts over 79 mammal species and 475 bird species. Kidepo Valley National Park has been Uganda’s less visited Park until recently when most people have realized it is a gem due to its uniqueness, diversity and distance. Early morning breakfast and we start exploring this rather undisrupted Park. Our game drive will take you through the Narus Valley punctuated by possible nature walks in this vast park. After lunch we will go for an afternoon game drive.

Kidepo Valley National Park is a savannah landscape that stretches to all directions, It is home to big game like elephants, zebras, giraffes, herds of buffalos, warthogs, duikers, Jackson’s Hartebeests, lions, leopards, cheetahs and hundreds of bird species some of which are endemic to this area like Ostriches, Kori bustards, vultures and many more.
Other animals that may be seen roaming around include: Jackals, Roan Antelope, waterbuck, Eland, Oribi and Klipspringer. Dinner and overnight at Savannah Lodge.

After breakfast, we will go for a cultural tour in the Karamajong community. Spend much of the morning time with these people and have an insight of their way of life and beliefs.
At the end of the visit you will be able to understand why their pride makes them slow to adapt to ‘civilization’.
Over the years they have tried to preserve their culture and are proud to remain that way. Right from their dressing code, traditional dances, to practices like cattle rustling they have stood out as a unique people.
Afternoon we will have a final nature walk featuring several birds. Dinner and overnight at Kidepo Savannah Lodge.

After an early morning cup of tea/coffee you will go for boat ride to the Nile delta, Look out for a variety of bird species especially the Shoebill form which our company derives its name. On this trip you have two chances of seeing the Shoebill, one at Mabamba and second one here at Murchison Falls.
Afternoon game drive to the open African savanna in search of Lions, Leopard, Hyena, Buffalo, Elephant, Jackson Hartebeest. Oribi, Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, and enjoy spotting various Bird species such as the Secretary Bird, Black Chested Snake Eagle, Tawny, Marshal Eagles, Carmine bee- eaters, Swallow Tailed Bee-Eaters and many more.
Dinner and overnight at Fort Murchison.

Breakfast and go for a morning game drive. This beautiful drive will take us across savannah, Borassus Palm Forest and grassland down to Lake Albert where the Albert Nile heads to the north.

Afternoon go for a boat cruise bottom of the falls. Enjoy these spectacular falls from below where the Nile squeezes through a 7 meter gap. Notable are the Huge Nile Crocodiles basking away. Possible hike to the top of the falls.

Breakfast and proceed to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Stop over enroute for some birding.
Nature walk safari to the Southern White rhinos. These had become extinct in Uganda and have were re-introduced recently. We will do some bits of birding as well. Lunch and drive back to Entebbe. Dinner and overnight at 2Friends beach hotel.
