Dar es Salaam to Mikumi NP + Evening Maasai Culture

After breakfast, depart at 7:30 am from Dar es Salaam via Morogoro and Chalinze with a picnic lunch pack. Drive for 6 to 7 hours to Mikumi National Park while exploring the nature of Tanzania. After arriving in Mikumi National Park, you'll have a short rest at Bastian Camp before proceeding to the Maasai cultural view for 1 to 2 hours, then return to Bastian Camp for dinner and overnight.

Mikumi National Park Full Game Drive

You'll have breakfast before proceeding with a full-day game drive. Drive to Mikumi National Park where you will see all species of animals and birds. Due to its savannah plains, animals in Mikumi NP are easily accessed. You'll have the opportunity to spot them easily. Have lunch in the mid-noon then advance with a game drive for the rest of the afternoon. In the evening, drive back to Bastian Camp for dinner and overnight.

Mikumi NP to Udzungwa and Sanje Waterfalls

After breakfast, do a light game drive while proceeding to the Udzungwa Mountains, followed by a walk along the tropical rain forest known as the "Galapagos of Africa". The Udzungwa Mountains are home to several culturally and historically significant sites such as the Magombereka Cave, Bokela, Mwanaruvele Cave, Ndundulu, Nyumbanitu Mountains and others. Dinner and overnight will be at Udzungwa Falls Lodge (meal plan and full board).

Udzungwa to Dar es Salaam

After an early breakfast, start the trek that leads to the spectacular trails up to Sanje Waterfalls, one of the unique features of the Udzungwa Mountains. Here you will get a good view of Kilombero valley, which is ideal for agricultural practice for the Morogoro dwellers. Walk back to the lodge for a hot lunch, then start driving to Dar es Salaam hotel or lodge for your onward plans.
