The Perfect Solo Travel Experience at Nyerere National Park!
I recently had the most incredible, seamless experience booking a one-day private safari with Smile with Us Tours in Africa. I actually planned this trip entirely last minute, and I am so grateful to Mr. Jacob, who was absolutely amazing to work with. He accommodated my short-notice request instantly, handled all the logistics flawlessly, and made sure everything was perfectly set up for me without a single delay.
My tour guide for the day at Nyerere National Park, Tiko, was absolutely phenomenal. From the moment the journey began, his warm, personable nature and vibrant, positive energy set the perfect tone. He is an expert tracker with an encyclopedia-like knowledge of the wildlife. Tiko made it his personal mission to ensure I saw as much as possible, and his sharp eyes did not disappoint. Thanks to him, I had the thrill of checking off three of the Big Five, elephants, lions, and giraffes! Watching these majestic animals in their natural habitat was breathtaking, and Tiko always positioned the vehicle perfectly for the best views while maintaining a deep respect for the wildlife and ensuring we were completely safe at all times.
What made this safari truly special, though, was the depth of the experience. Tiko is a wonderful storyteller. During our drives through the park, he shared fascinating stories and taught me so much about Tanzanian culture, traditions, and daily life, which gave me a much deeper appreciation for the country.
As a solo traveler, safety, privacy, and comfort were incredibly important to me. The private 4x4 safari vehicle was pristine, remarkably spacious, and felt extremely safe even on the roughest terrain. Tiko was exceptionally attentive, constantly checking in on me throughout the day to ensure I was comfortable and doing well.
The hospitality on this tour was unmatched. We had a wonderful break time with snacks, and the lunch they provided was absolutely amazing. The food was very good! Tiko also supplied all of the water and drinks for the trip, thoughtfully keeping everything perfectly chilled in a cooler, which was a lifesaver on such a hot day and long journey.
I was genuinely heartbroken for the day to end, but I am already planning my return trip to Tanzania Nyerere National Park to do this exact journey all over again. Thank you, Mr. Jacob, for making it happen on short notice, and a massive thank you to Tiko for memories that will last a lifetime. Do yourself a favor and book with them and absolutely ask for Tiko!

Extremely competent and understanding of everything we would need
This was the best trip of my entire life and it is all thanks to Isack at Smile With Us and Stephano our amazing safari guide. My wife and I are on this trip for our honeymoon and had the best time! We had a customized 5 day tour where we did the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire. Stephano made us feel so welcomed and was extremely kind and knowledgeable about the animals and Tanzanian wildlife/culture. He made sure we saw all of the big 5 and even saw 2 leopards on our first day! He is great at communicating with other guides to figure out the exact areas we should be looking for animals, and was able to teach us about every single one of them. I would highly recommend requesting him for your safari whether you are a couple, a family, or solo. As for Isack, we went the entire week staying at amazing hotels and having incredible service. From the moment we landed in Tanzania everything was handled for us. I did not pick up a bag of mine once because the service we had was so amazing.
I would recommend this trip to anyone looking to go on safari and I would choose Isack and Stephano to handle everything along the way again and again!

Without a doubt, one of those experiences we will never forget!!! Nyerere is stunning, the accommodation inside the park was spectacular, and the service from everyone was unbeatable. Amazing
We had an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. Our guide was outstanding—extremely attentive, friendly, and always going the extra mile to ensure we saw as many animals as possible. Thanks to his expertise, dedication, and enthusiasm, we enjoyed some truly incredible wildlife sightings.
The camp was excellent as well, with a wonderful atmosphere and very comfortable facilities. The team also prepared a fantastic dinner for us, which was the perfect ending to each unforgettable day.

Stephano is hands-down one of the best guides we’ve ever had—knowledgeable, calm under pressure, and full of passion for wildlife and Tanzanian culture. Despite it being rainy season—which always brings a few surprises—he handled every challenge with total professionalism and an easygoing attitude that kept the day flowing smoothly.
We were thrilled to spot 3 of the Big Five (elephants, buffalo, and lions!) amidst the lush green scenery of Mikumi. The park itself is a hidden gem, especially during the wet season when the landscape bursts into vibrant life. Herds of zebra and wildebeest grazed the plains, giraffes moved elegantly through the trees, and hippos wallowed happily in flooded pools.
After our game drive, Stephano took us on a fascinating visit to a Maasai village—a truly eye-opening cultural experience. The warmth and hospitality of the Maasai people, their traditions, and their songs and dances added such depth to our trip. It was humbling and unforgettable.
We ended the day at Camp Bastian, a charming eco-lodge tucked into the forest with great food, friendly staff, and a relaxing atmosphere to unwind after an action-packed day.
