Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

In the morning, you'll be picked up at the hotel/airport/ferry in Dar es Salaam and drive to Mikumi National Park. This will take about 5 - 6 hours with a stopover in Morogoro for hot lunches. You'll then arrive in Mikumi and visit a Maasai Village where you will meet the elders, warriors, women and children. You will learn about the culture, beliefs and traditions of Tanzania’s last nomadic tribe. After your visit, you will be taken to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and your overnight stay at Camp Bastian.

Full Day Game Drive

After breakfast, you'll depart from the lodge with packed lunches to enjoy a full-day game drive inside the park. The animals commonly found here include lions, elands, hartebeests, buffalo, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, elephants and many more. You will also stop for lunch at the picnic site before proceeding with game drives to the hippo and crocodile pool. In the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay at Camp Bastian.

Maasai Visit Then Depart to Dar es Salaam

After breakfast with packed lunches, you will visit a Maasai Village where you will meet the elders, warriors, women and children. You'll also learn about the culture, beliefs and traditions of Tanzania’s last nomadic tribe. Then enjoy an en-route game drive as you are departing to Dar es Salaam.
