You'll have breakfast at 7:30 am. You'll be picked up from your hotel in Arusha at 9:00 am and drive on tarmac road 120km to Tarangire National Park (2,850 sq km or 1,005 sq miles) for game drives. You'll have a picnic lunch there. After lunch, you'll continue with afternoon wildlife viewing in the park, a home to lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, python, zebra, oryx, impala, and more. Over 450 species of birds have been observed. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 2
Serengeti National Park

Today you’re off to the famous Serengeti National Park, home of the Great Migration. Your drive today is spectacular as you drive up the crater highlands, stopping at the rim for a birds-eye view of the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. You'll continue, as you crest the hillside, spread out before you, as far as the eye can see, is the vast Serengeti. Serengeti means “endless plains” in Kiswahili, and this 6,900 sq. mile (18,000 sq. km) park is inhabited by more than 2 million large animals, including more than a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of plains zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles. Large predators, including lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, are drawn to the area by this abundance of prey, which migrates throughout the park. Many smaller animals like rock hyrax, bat-eared foxes, mongoose, honey badger, jackals, monkeys, baboons, and African hares also inhabit the area, along with nearly 500 species of birds.

After breakfast, you'll have a full day in Serengeti National Park (morning and afternoon game drives). On this day, you will have a full day game drive in Serengeti exploring the best of the park in different areas (there is an option for an early morning balloon safari for extra cost).

Today, after a delicious early breakfast, you will depart for the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, enjoying a scenic game drive en route. As one of the most stunning natural wonders in the world, this UNESCO World Heritage Site offers the best opportunity in East Africa to spot the Big Five in a single game drive. Upon reaching the crater’s edge, you’ll be greeted by a spectacular panoramic view of the 20 km-wide caldera before descending into its wildlife-rich plains on an adventurous trail. Home to over 25,000 animals, including hyenas, hippos, lions, elephants, and the critically endangered black rhino, Ngorongoro is truly a wildlife paradise. You will also have the opportunity to experience the vibrant Maasai culture, interacting with the local people who coexist harmoniously with the wildlife.

After an early breakfast at your luxury lodge in Karatu, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a hidden gem nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley. This lush, diverse park is famous for its rich birdlife, including thousands of flamingos, as well as its tree-climbing lions, an unusual and fascinating sight. During your game drive, you’ll explore a variety of ecosystems, from groundwater forests to open savannahs, spotting elephants, giraffes, zebras, and hippos along the way. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at a scenic spot overlooking the lake, offering a final chance to soak in the park’s tranquil beauty. At the scheduled time, you will be transferred to Zanzibar International Airport for your flight home, taking with you unforgettable memories of your Kilimanjaro adventure and peaceful beach escape.
