Day 1

Lake Nakuru

Pick up from Nairobi, then drive through the Great Rift Valley where we will briefly stop for an opportunity to see and photograph this great natural spectacle. Thereafter we proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park with game viewing en-route, arriving at our tented camp for lunch. The park supports a wide ecological diversity with flamingos (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds being the major attractions of the area. The ecosystem provides for about 56 different species of mammals including the white rhino and buffaloes and a variety of terrestrial birds numbering nearly 450 species. In the afternoon we head out to the park for an afternoon game drive till late afternoon. [L D]

Day 2

Lake Naivasha

Enjoy breakfast at the camp, then proceed to the shores of Lake Naivasha for lunch. The lake and its surroundings are rich in natural bounty, and the fertile soils and water supply have made this one of Kenya’s prime agricultural regions. Much of the lake is surrounded by forests of the yellow barked Acacia xanthophloea, known as the yellow fever tree.

Day 3

Masai Mara

We make our way to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. We arrive at our accommodation in time for lunch and will enjoy an afternoon game drive in the reserve. The one main aspect that makes the Masai Mara so well-known is that it is joined to the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania and therefore allows the free movement of wildebeest during the Great Migration. Day 4-5

The next two days are spent on morning and afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. This area is home to a great variety of game including lion, leopard, cheetah, zebra, wildebeest (gnu), giraffe, buffalo, jackal, topi, gazelle, impala and elephant. Hippopotamus and crocodile are plentiful in the rivers here, and the bird life is also abundant.

Breakfast at leisure.
After breakfast drive back to Nairobi.
Arrival into Nairobi lunch on own account then later proceed on to Mombasa beach.
