Upon arrival in Tanzania, you'll will get a transfer from the airport to your first camp. You'll leave the city of Arusha and head to Tarangire National Park (journey time of approximately three to four hours), located in the Manyara region. Tarangire National Park is the sixth largest national park in Tanzania and the name of the park originates from the Tarangire River, which winds through the park lands.

Tarangire is a seasonal park and the long dry season (June to October) is the best time to visit. During these months the park offers incredible wildlife viewing opportunities. You can expect to see plenty of big game, including large herds of elephant congregating along the riverbanks and waterholes. Tarangire is also one of the few parks in Tanzania where you can enjoy night safaris, as well as walking safaris and fly camping trips. Head out for an exciting night game drive to witness some incredible wildlife sightings.

After breakfast, you’ll journey to Lake Manyara National Park, nestled at the base of the dramatic Rift Valley escarpment. The park’s vast alkaline lake is a sanctuary for pink flamingos and resident hippo pods. Famous for its unique tree-climbing lions and massive elephant herds, Manyara offers a diverse safari experience. Keep watch for leopards, giraffes, and vibrant primate colonies as you explore. For a truly unhurried perspective, you may even opt for a tranquil canoe safari on the lake.

Fly to Arusha
Fly to Arusha
You will check-out from Dunia Camp this morning after breakfast. You are then driven to the airstrip for your scheduled light aircraft flight back to Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airports to complete your journey.
