Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

Pick up from the ferry or Hotel and drive to Mikumi National Park which is approximately 5 to 6 hours’ drive. You will have a short stop in Morogoro for hot lunch. After Lunch proceed to Mikumi NP. Arrive for afternoon game drive until sunset.

Animals commonly found Include lion, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra and elephants and many more. Wild dog can come and go in this park. The open horizons and abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park.

Game drive in Mikumi NP then drive to Udzungwa Mountain NP

After breakfast you will go out for game drive in Mikumi National Park until lunch time where you will drive back at the Camp for hot lunch. After lunch you will proceed with game drive until 1500hrs then start drive to Udzungwa Mountain NP. You will drive through Kilombero valley where you can see a wide field of sugarcane plantation. This will take about one hour and a half from Mikumi. Arrive in Udzungwa Falls Lodge for dinner and overnght.

Rainforest Mountain Trekking

After breakfast drive to Park headquarter to complete formalities. You will drive to the starting point of famous Sanje trail and you will start trekking in this beautiful mountain enjoying and experience the stunning natural beauty of the Park. Picnic lunch in the bush then proceed exploring the area, you will get the access to wonderful Sanje waterfall stunning 170m. You will get the chance to see six species of monkeys include endemic species of Sanje Crested Mangabey and Iringa Red Colobus Monkey. You will get the chance to swim in one of the waterfall plunge pools.
After trekking you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Udzungwa Mountain NP to Dar es Salaam

After breakfast you will start driving to Dar es Salaam with option of visiting Maasai Community in Mikumi area. You will pay direct to the leader of the tribe to support their community. You will stop on the way for lunch.

On arrival you driver will drop you at your hotel or late flight to next destination.
