Day 1

Dar es Salaam to Nyerere NP (Ex Selous GR)

Morning depart for Selous Game Reserve you will have a short break for hot lunch in Kibiti town.
The journey to Selous will take about 5 to 6 hours. Arrive for afternoon Boat cruise along the mighty Great Rufiji River.
Boat safari brings you into close contact with hippo, crocodile and fantastic bird life. Crocodile glide into the water as your boat approaches and hippo appear in frightening proximity, grunting and blowing steam.

Dinner and overnight will be at Ngalawa Campsite.

Day 2

Nyerere NP (Ex Selous Game Reserve) - Walking Safari & Game Drive

Nyerere NP (Ex Selous Game Reserve) - Walking Safari & Game Drive

Wake-up early in the morning and grab a cup of coffee or tea, then go out for wilderness walking safari with guidance of an armed ranger. This will take about two and a half hours.
Walking safari will give you a particularly intimate feel for African wild. You will get the chance to touch the nature, see the different foot print, droppings of different wild animals and small creatures that you can’t see them during the game drive. After walking safari you will go back to the campsite for breakfast then break the camp and drive to the reserve for full day game drive until sunset.

Dinner and overnight at Lake Tagalala Campsite. (middle of the Park).

Day 3

Wake up early in the morning. Enjoying another beautiful morning game drive along the lake where animals are coming down to drink. Later you will drive back to the campsite for breakfast followed by game drive until sunset.
Today you will have another day to overnight in the middle of the reserve. Some wild animals like hyena, African Civet, Genet are visiting the campsite at night. Also is possible to hear the voice of hippos and lion roaring at night.

Dinner and overnight will be at Lake Tagalala Campsite.

Day 4

Nyerere NP to Mikumi National Park

Nyerere NP to Mikumi National Park

Wake-up for early breakfast then break the camp and start driving to Mikumi National park. On the way to the exit gate you will have game drive on route.
The journey is the most amazing and truly wild and untouched areas of Tanzania. The drive will take you up into the Uluguru Mountains across rivers and pass through small local villages and farms. The drive is tiring but possibly the most rewarding and adventures on the southern circuit.
Arrive in Mikumi National Park for afternoon game drive until sunset.

Dinner and overnight at Campsite number 1. (Inside the park).

Day 5

Start the day with early morning game drive. Enjoy the sunrise with morning game drive, this will take about two hours then drive back to the camp for breakfast.
After breakfast you will continue with game drive until 1200hrs then drive back to the campsite for hotlunch. After lunch start driving back to Dar es Salaam. On arrival in Dar es Salaam you will be dropped at your hotel or airport for your next destination.

Mikumi hosts buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, lions, pythons, zebras, leopards, crocodiles and many more. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park.
