Biking to lake Manyara, culture and mto wa mbu

Embrace the beauty of Lake Manyara with an invigorating morning! At 8:00 am, embark on a guided bike and walking tour, soaking in the stunning scenery at your own pace. Keep your eyes peeled for zebras, flamingos, wildebeest, and a diverse array of wildlife.

Following your active exploration, delve deeper into the local culture with your guide. Visit banana, coffee, and rice fields, gaining insights into the region's agricultural practices. Feeling adventurous? Opt for an additional visit at zero cost to a Maasai village, a coffee tour, or even try your hand at painting to capture your Tanzanian experience.

Explore this charming town at your own pace or relax and enjoy the sights from a complimentary tuk-tuk ride, for the night, a necessary reprieve from the wild. Lake Natron, waterfalls, Flamingos and hot spring

After breakfast, you will leave your refuge, embarking on a deep cut into the earth. The journey pulls you off the beaten track, following the monumental tear of the Rift Valley Escarpment northwards toward a world of salt and fire.

The route plunges through stark Maasai land, ancient and unforgiving. Soon, the sacred, looming sentinel of Ol'doinyo Lengai—the Holy Mountain of the Maasai—will appear on the horizon, guiding your pilgrimage to the small village of Ngare Sero.

Your destination is the haunting spectacle of Lake Natron. A guided bush walk leads you to its alkaline shores, where the water shimmers in hues of blood-red and orange, host to a massive, spectral gathering of flamingos that breed upon its hostile edge. You can pause by a nearby hot spring, or for those seeking a sweet reprieve from the dust, choose to wander toward a cascading waterfall for a cold, refreshing bath.

The day ends at the Lake Natron Tented Camp, a necessary refuge from the raw beauty.

Northern Serengeti National Park

Northern Serengeti National Park

The journey begins at first light. You will ascend from the spectral valley of Natron, the vehicle slowly conquering the serpentine turns of the escarpment. Take a final, piercing look at the shimmering, hostile beauty of Lake Natron before leaving the Great Rift Valley's colossal tear behind you.

The path carves through the wild, leading you via the remote village of Wasso. By midday, you cross the ancient threshold at Kleins Gate, entering the vast, unbroken theatre of the Northern Serengeti.

Your first game drive is an immediate plunge into the raw power of the Lobo region. This landscape, marked by granite kopjes and permanent springs, sustains a brutal and beautiful resident drama: the stalking of leopards and lions, the permanence of buffalo and elephant.

As dusk descends, you will proceed to the commanding Lobo Wildlife Lodge, a sanctuary from which to absorb the day's untamed spectacle.

Day 4

Following the Migration and Mara River crossing

Following the Migration and Mara River crossing

The Northern Serengeti is a frontier of raw, untamed earth, an unexplored wilderness where the land remains monumental and fierce. This is the domain of colossal events.

During the seasons of migration, this land becomes the stage for the earth's greatest spectacle: the massive, rushing tides of migratory wildebeest and zebra, the very heartbeat of the plains. Yet, even in stillness, a permanent drama remains. The north is packed with resident life: the silent menace of lions, the ancient might of elephants, the lurking power of crocodiles, and the quiet grace of rare oribi antelopes—a wild cast in a permanent play of survival.

As the sun bleeds across the sky, your journey continues south, leaving the northern frontier behind to reach the classic, endless plains of the Central Serengeti. Dinner and overnight await you here, at the epicenter of the endless savanna.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Carter

Ngorongoro Carter

Our day begins early, between 6:00 and 6:30 am, as we descend into the Ngorongoro Crater. The earlier we descend, the greater we increase the chances of encountering black rhinos.

From the comfort of our open roof 4x4 Land Cruiser safari vehicle, we spend the majority of the time exploring the crater. With its 600- to 650-meter-high walls, the Ngorongoro Crater resembles a natural zoo. The landscape here shifts greatly depending on the season, and you're guaranteed to observe scenes found nowhere else in Tanzania.

After the chills and thrills of the day, we will have a picnic lunch by the famous hippo pool. Later, after another game drive, your guide will navigate the vehicle back towards Arusha, making the final push from the raw, open plains to the city's edge. This is your final sanctuary—a place for dinner and an overnight stay, where the powerful echoes of your untamed journey will settle into memory.

Main Destination:

Best Time To Visit June to October (Wildlife viewing is best)
High Season Most of the year – July to March (Expect crowds)
