Meet our professional driver-guide in Dar es Salaam at your Hotel at around 07:30 hrs. Then pack bags and have a little introduction with a super briefing then finally depart to Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve). Enjoy a scenic drive through the countryside as you head toward one of Africa’s largest protected wildlife areas. Upon arrival at Selous Safari Lodge, check in and enjoy a freshly prepared hot lunch. After some time to relax, transfer to the riverbank for a thrilling sunset boat safari along the Rufiji River. This peaceful cruise offers close encounters with hippos wallowing in the water, crocodiles basking on the banks, and a variety of bird species soaring above the river. It’s a perfect way to experience the serenity and beauty of the reserve as the sun begins to set. After an early breakfast at the lodge, set out for a full-day game drive in Nyerere National Park, guided by our humble and knowledgeable tour guide who offers excellent customer care throughout the experience. Explore one of Africa’s largest and most untouched wilderness areas, home to a remarkable variety of wildlife. As you traverse the park’s diverse landscapes—open plains, miombo woodlands, and riverine forests—you may encounter elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, impalas, wildebeests, and possibly rare species like the African wild dog. The Rufiji River, winding through the park, provides a haven for hippos, crocodiles, and vibrant birdlife. Your guide will ensure a comfortable, informative, and enjoyable safari, sharing insights into animal behavior and the ecosystem. Pause midday for a relaxing bush picnic, then continue your adventure before returning to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Selous Safari Lodge.

Wake up early for a unique and immersive walking safari experience with a local bushman just outside the boundaries of Nyerere National Park. You'll be guided on foot through the surrounding wilderness, learning about the land, wildlife tracks, traditional survival skills, and the medicinal uses of native plants. The bushman, with deep knowledge passed down through generations, will share fascinating stories and techniques used to live in harmony with nature. This intimate experience allows you to connect with the environment in a way that vehicles cannot offer—quiet, close, and authentic. Enjoy the sounds of birds, the fresh morning air, and the thrill of being part of the wild on foot. After the walk, return to the lodge for breakfast then after start drive back to Dar es salaam. After arriving to Dar es Salaam you our driver guide will take you to either in Ferry, to Dar es salaam Airport or back to your hotel for a night before you fly back home.
