Ngorongoro to Arusha

Ngorongoro to Arusha

After an early breakfast, descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater with Across the Wild Safaris, timed for the best wildlife viewing of the day. Often called Africa’s greatest natural wildlife amphitheater, the crater offers exceptional game viewing within its lush, self-contained ecosystem.

Enjoy an extensive game drive across the crater floor, where there is a high chance of spotting all members of the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and the rare black rhino. Stop for a scenic picnic lunch beside a small lake, home to resident hippos and a variety of migratory birds, adding to the richness of the experience.

Formed over two million years ago following the collapse of a massive volcano, the Ngorongoro Crater is one of the world’s largest intact calderas and a true natural wonder. After a rewarding afternoon of wildlife encounters, begin your journey back to Arusha, marking the end of an unforgettable safari experience with Across the Wild Safaris.
