Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where you will be met by our guide to begin your Uganda gorilla, community, and walking safari tour You will be taken to the hotel to rest and recover from jet lag in preparation for the adventures starting tomorrow.

Day 2

Entebbe - Lake Mburo National Park

Entebbe - Lake Mburo National Park

Eat breakfast at your leisure, then start the drive towards southwestern Uganda, stopping at the equator line for scientific demonstrations and photo opportunities where the Earth is divided into the Northern and Southern hemispheres. Continue the drive until you reach the savannah plains of Lake Mburo National Park, where you will check in and enjoy a relaxing lunch before getting ready for a game drive and walking safari experience. During this game drive and walking safari, you will be able to get close to savannah animals such as zebras grazing alongside the Ankole long-horned cattle, as well as impalas, buffaloes, topis, among others. Your overnight stay will be at a lodge overlooking the expansive views of Lake Mburo National Park.

Day 3

Lake Mburo National Park - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Lake Mburo National Park - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

We will leisurely depart Lake Mburo after breakfast and drive to Bwindi to see the mountain gorillas, passing through beautifully cultivated hills to the jungle-covered mountains. Our goal is to arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. Check in and relax for a while before enjoying a community immersion with the local Batwa people, who were the original occupants of the forest before it was designated a national park. Retire for the day at the lodge.

Day 4

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Lake Bunyonyi

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Lake Bunyonyi

Spend a day tracking the endangered mountain gorillas, with up to an hour spent in their presence. See mothers keeping infants close as they knucklewalk on three limbs, and watch scampering toddlers reined in by an attentive father, whose role is to protect his family. When you encounter a mountain gorilla in the wild, there is no mistaking the bond that exists between primate and man, and no escaping the poignant fact that these creatures lie on the brink of extinction. Later you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi and enjoy the stunning views of the lake. Your overnight stay will be at resort by the lake.

Lake Bunyonyi - Mbarara

Lake Bunyonyi - Mbarara

After a leisurely breakfast, you will enjoy the great views of Lake Bunyonyi and the famous Virunga Mountains during a boat trip on the lake, visiting many of the well-known islands. You will then drive through the rolling hills of Kabale until you reach Emburara Farm Lodge, where you can spend the evening relaxing at the swimming pool, enjoying a steam bath, massage, and sauna, or any of the other optional activities on offer.

Day 6

Mbarara - Entebbe

Mbarara - Entebbe

Wake up early to enjoy a farm life experience with the famous Ankole long-horned cattle. You will participate in hand-milking cows as well as learning about different farm activities. Part of the experience includes tasting fresh milk and learning more about the ancient Ankole culture. Return to the lodge for brunch, then get ready for the drive back to Entebbe International Airport for your international departure.
