Guests arrive at Windhoek International Airport and are met by a guide who takes them to the hotel or lodge for check-in. Depending on the time they arrive, the tour will usually begin the next day, as most international flights arrive early in the morning.

Day 2-3

Game drives at Etosha National Park

Game drives at Etosha National Park

At 8 am, we will drive to Namutoni, the eastern point of Etosha National Park. The activities at Etosha National Park will include game drives and game walks where possible, depending on the guide's recommendation.

Mammals that are common to Etosha National Park include the African bush elephant, the southern white rhino, the southwestern black rhino, the African buffalo, the Angolan giraffe, the southwest African lion, the African leopard, the South African cheetah, serval, caracal, African wildcat, black-footed cat, black-backed jackal, Cape fox, brown hyena, spotted hyena, a variety of mongoose, meerkat, warthog, zebra, hartebeest, wildebeest, and common eland, among many other species. Etosha National Park has a vast and diverse bird population, and species include vultures, storks, hornbills, waterfowls, falcons, bustards, herons, owls, and many more.

Lunch is served at the lodge, whereafter you will continue with the activities for the rest of the afternoon.

Day 4

After breakfast at 8 am, we will drive from Etosha National Park. We will stop at Kamajap for a one-hour cultural experience tour of the Himba culture. The trip will then continue to Brandberg. On arrival, we will check in for one night at Brandberg White Lady Lodge.

The activities on our schedule in Brandberg are a tour of the White Lady Picture and a desert nature drive, during which we can see wildlife that lives in desert adaptations.

After breakfast, we depart Brandberg at 8 am. After having experienced the Etosha game drives and Himba cultural tour, our primary focus will now be on the Sesriem dunes and Swakopmund township tour, which we will experience as we continue our tour. The activities in Swakopmund include a township tour, a dolphin cruise, quad biking, and a 30-minute scenic flight over dunes.

Day 7-8

After breakfast, we will depart Swakopmund and go to Sesriem. The activities include a tour of Dune 45, Dead Vlei, Sesriem Canyon, and Dune Elim for the sunset tour.

Sesriem is also known for Sesriem Canyon, which is about 4 kilometers from Sesriem and is the second most important tourist attraction after Sossusvlei. The canyon is a natural canyon carved by the Tsauchab River in the local sedimentary rock, about a kilometer (0.6 miles) long and up to 30 meters (100 feet) deep.

Dune 45 is a star dune in the Sossusvlei area of the Namib Desert in Namibia. Its name comes from the fact that it is at the 45th kilometer of the road connecting the Sesriem gate and Sossusvlei. Standing over 170 meters, it is composed of 5-million-year-old sand that was detritus accumulated by the Orange River from the Kalahari Desert and then blown here.

After breakfast, we will depart from Sesriem at 8 am and drive to Windhoek. We will check in on arrival, and lunch will be served at the hotel. We will have the rest of the afternoon to tour the city markets or relax and enjoy the ambience at the hotel.
