Your adventure begins with an early departure at 6:00 AM from Kigali, where your professional driver-guide from Vazquez Tours & Travel will welcome you for a scenic journey to Akagera National Park. Upon arrival, complete park registration and immediately set off on an exciting morning game drive, offering excellent chances to spot elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, rhinoceros, waterbucks, and other wildlife as the park comes to life.

Around midday, proceed to Ruzizi Tented Lodge for check-in, followed by a relaxing lunch in a serene natural setting. In the afternoon, head out for a short game drive to further explore the park’s diverse landscapes and wildlife. Later, enjoy a tranquil boat safari on Lake Ihema, where hippos and a variety of bird species can be observed up close. Return to the lodge for dinner and a peaceful overnight stay, surrounded by the soothing sounds of the wilderness.
