Day 1

Nairobi - Masai Mara

Nairobi - Masai Mara

You will depart Nairobi and make your way to Masai Mara National Reverse via the Great Rift Valley floor. You will stop at a viewpoint to look over the rifts and then make your to Narok for a hot lunch. When you finally arrive at the Miti Mingi Eco Camp you will rest for 30 minutes and then go on a 2-3 hour evening game drive. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.

Eat breakfast at the camp and then begin your full-day game drive (lunch will be a picnic). The Masai Mara is covered in savannah grassland on rolling hills, which makes for incredibly scenic views. It also has a good track network that allows for close proximity to the wildlife and great photography opportunities. You may visit a local Maasai village on your own at a charge of $10 per person. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 3

Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru

After drinking a cup of coffee, you will go on an early morning game drive at 6:30am. If you are lucky, you may have a one-on-one encounter with a lion as he wrestles his prey. You will get back to the camp before 9:00am and eat a full breakfast before making your way to Nakuru (lunch will be en route). You will enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mount Longonot and Lake Naivasha as you drive and perhaps opt for a boat ride. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at Buraha ZenoniHotel.

You will enjoy views of hippos, buffalos, and crocodiles at Baboon Cliff and then eat lunch before making your way to Amboseli National Park. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the Nyati safari Camp.

Eat a snack and then embark on an early morning game drive in Amboseli National Park. You will enjoy close proximity to the animals, including the grand matriarchs of the amazing elephant herds that live here. A large variety of birds can also be found in the park. You will return to the camp for a picnic breakfast and lunch. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.

Amboseli - Arusha

Eat a snack and then set out for an early morning game drive at 6:30am. You will head into the swampy areas of the park to see a variety of herbivores (including hippos and elephants) wallowing in the mud. You will return to the camp for a full breakfast at the camp before checking-out and making your way to the Namanga border, where you will catch a shuttle bus to Arusha. Upon arrival you will meet with our driver, who will transfer you to the Arusha Hotel.

After eating breakfast at your Arusha hotel, you will meet our staff and driver-guide for a briefing about your upcoming time in Tanzania. You will then drive six-hours to Serengeti National Park (lunch will be eaten en route). Upon arrival at the main gate you will complete your registration and then go on a game drive en route to the camp (which is located in the Central Serengeti). After at least three hours of game driving, you will go to the Seronera Camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Eat an early breakfast at the camp and then make your way with a picnic lunch in hand into the Serengeti for a six-hour game drive. Here you will track wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, lion, black rhino, cheetah, leopard, hyena, bush buck, lesser kudu, wild dog, kongoni, impala, Grant’s gazelle, black backed jackal, mongoose, olive baboons, velvet monkeys, and many other animals. You will leave the park at noon for a stopover at Olduvai Gorge ($35 per person, cost not included). In the evening you will arrive in the conservancy area. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the Simba Camp.

After breakfast at the camp you will leave for a game drive in the Ngoronogo Crater, where you will see common lions, African elephants, black rhino, leopard, cheetah, hyena, wild dog, Grant’s zebra, African buffalo, and hippos. You will eat a picnic lunch at the crater rim and then ascend to the main gate. After exiting the crater you will drive to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
