Arrival and Sightseeing Addis

You will be met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel. Refresh and begin your sightseeing of Addis with a drive up to mount Entoto for a panoramic view of Addis. Descend down and drive to National museum where you will have a chance to spot the oldest hominids of ‘Lucy’ fossil. Visit and proceed to the Holy Trinity built during the WWII. Finally you will be transferred to your hotel for the overnight.

Fly Addis to Lalibela

You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Lalibela. Be met upon arrival and transferred to your hotel. ‘Eighth wonder of world Heritage’ Lalibela is famous for its underground rock-hewn cathedrals. Visit top attractions of Lalibela that will simply stagger you. These churches include Bete Medhane Alem, bete Mariam, bete Meskal, bete Denaghel, bete Golgotha, bete Mikael and bete Giorgis. Lalibela

After having your breakfast you will visit the remaining churches of Lalibela which includes Bete Gabriel, Bete Marqorios, Bete Emmanuel, and Bete Aba Libanos. Drive Lalibela to Bahir Dar

This day you will drive to Bahir Dar visiting en route the Awra Amba village. A unique settlement that is considered to be a prime model for self-help and above all gender equality. Women have equal rights as men and there is no distinction in division of labor. Men cook, women plow, and religion have no place. They believe in hard work and being good to people. They keep their house and their surrounding unbelievably clean. Theft is seen as very obscene. The main means of livelihood for the community is weaving. There’s home for the elderly with 24 hour care and a committee that helps out new mothers, who also get three months of maternity leave. Enjoy your dinner at the hotel where you will stay for the overnight.

Sightseeing Bahir Dar

Morning you will take a boat cruise on Lake Tana to visit the 14th century Monastery of Ura Kidane Mihret which is the most famous of the Zege peninsula monasteries. Afternoon, you will drive to the village of Tis Isat to see the Blue Nile falls. (Note that the volume of the water could be minimal because of the construction of the new dam.) Drive Bahir Dar to Gondar

After having your breakfast, you will begin your journey to Gondar. The Royal Capital of Ethiopia, Gondar was founded in 1636 by Emperor Fassiladas. In the afternoon you will visit the city of Gondar with the drive to the Castles and Churches built by Emperor Fassiladas and his descendants. Proceed to the fascinating Debre Birhan Selassie (The Enlightening of Trinity) with Wonderful murals art. Visit and drive back to your hotel for the overnight.

Drive Gondar to Simien Mountains National Park

This day you will have drive to the Semen Mountain. This is a sight, which is termed as the most wild and spectacular of all Ethiopian landscapes- 'the roof of Africa.' Observe the magnificent scenery. Check in to your hotel and later you will walk around in the park. Enjoy the landscape from your hotel.

Drive Simien to Gondar and Fly to Addis

After an early breakfast you will drive back to Gondar to catch your flight back to Addis. Upon your arrival in Addis you will be met and transferred to your hotel for the day use. In the evening attend a folkloric dinner where you will have a chance to taste several national dishes and watch dances of the various ethnic groups of Ethiopia. The traditional coffee ceremony will also be served. Later you will be transferred to the airport for your departure.
