On your arrival for your long Uganda safari, you will be met by our company representative together with your driver / guide and depending on your time of arrival, either do a city tour of Kampala including Kasubi Tombs, the Uganda Museum and the African Craft Village OR directly transfer to the hotel where you will relax and recover from the jet-lag! Day 2

You will enjoy your breakfast and make an early start on the eventful journey to western Uganda. Your journey to Kibale Forest is incredibly scenic, taking you through tea plantations, lively village markets and over rolling hills of lush green countryside that is so characteristic of western Uganda.
The park itself is an extensive tract of dense tropical rain forest located just south of the town Fort Portal. The various ecosystems in this space are reputed to harbor the highest density of primates in all of Africa. The rare red colobus monkey as well as the black-and-white colobus are just some of the primates you may encounter on your forest walks here. The highlight of a trip to Kibale Forest is of course to spend some time observing the wonderfully entertaining chimpanzees.
On arrival, you will check in the accommodation set for you for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Chimpanzee trekking & Queen Elizabeth national park

Chimpanzee trekking & Queen Elizabeth national park

Early in the morning you will go for chimpanzee trekking. On a Chimpanzee Tracking experience in Kibale Forest you will have the opportunity to follow an experienced guide into the forest to observe these fascinating creatures at a close range. Watching them interact with each other and go about their daily routine of grooming, playing and foraging is an incredible experience.
After this amazing experience you will continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s second largest park, located at the base of the majestic Rwenzori Mountain range, adjacent to Lake Edward and Lake George. The park has prolific game, including Gazelle, Uganda Kob, Warthog and Waterbuck. Lions are often sighted both in the park and at the entrance to the park. In the late afternoon you will go for a game-drive into the park. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4

Arise early enough and after breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive where you will see various animals like elephants, elands, antelopes, buffaloes, lions, among others. Later return to the lodge, relax and have lunch. During the afternoon set out for boat cruise on the Kazinga channel which joins Lake George and Lake Edward, you will see various numbers of animals like crocodiles, hippos, water bucks, buffaloes, Elephants which come to the waterhole to drink or bathe as well as birds like the storks, Kingfishers among others. This will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of your tour.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5

Transfer to Lake Mutanda

Your journey today will continue south-west toward Kisoro, a bustling town to the south of Bwindi Forest, near the borders to Rwanda and Congo. This is one of our favorite drives in Uganda. The serpentine roads wind through lush rainforests, skirting hill tops (keep your eyes open for the volcanos!) and dipping into lively villages in the valley before arriving to the serene waters of Lake Mutanda.
Offering some of the best views in Uganda, Mutanda Lake Resort is perched on a peninsula overlooking a series of small islands scattered across the water and the volcanoes from the Virunga Range rising out of the mist in the distance. Gorilla Tracking is the main highlight of a visit to the southern parts of Bwindi Forest.

Day 6

Today after early breakfast, you will be transferred to the park head quarters for briefing about gorilla tracking. You will encounter one of Bwindi’s endangered mountain gorillas. For most people this is the absolute highlight of their tour in Uganda. Bwindi Impenetrable national park boasts both mountain gorillas and chimpanzees - the only forest in Africa that can make this claim.
It also hosts five other species of primates, 113 species of mammals, over 200 species of butterflies and 360 species of birds. Trekking takes about 1 hour to 8 hours based on location of these gentle giants. Once the gorillas have been located, your group will be allowed a maximum of one hour with them. Coming face-to-face with a mountain gorilla is a truly humbling and emotional experience. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Today you can do one of the optional activities organized by the lodge. Climb on one of the Virunga Volcanoes, do the Batwa trail or a Golden Monkey tracking in Mgahinga National park.
Depending on your arrival time you can visit some of Kigali’s craft markets, to browse among the pottery, carvings, batik, weaving, sculpture, musical instruments, leather and fabrics on offer. Prepare to haggle! All activities today are at your own cost.

After breakfast the driver of your hotel will take you to the airport for you morning flight with Rwandair to Kilimanjaro airport.
On arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport your Tanzanian driver will pick you from the airport and transfer you to the Lodge; a pleasant lodge with a beautiful garden and swimming pool. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Lake Manyara National Park

One of the very many wonderful things about Tanzania is its friendly people. And today you will experience their warmth and hospitality on a cultural visit to Mto Wa Mbu. On a village walk you will discover the very social side of rural life in Tanzania; from the small farms to schools, markets and churches. You will observe the Makonde tribe’s intricate wood carving and tribal painting techniques and learn how the Chagga tribe brew their “Mbege”, a traditional banana and millet beer.
After lunch( in the after noon ), you will have time to explore Lake Manyara National Park. The park is smaller than most of Tanzania’s parks in the northern circuit, but what it lacks in size it more than makes up for in content. You have a chance to spot zebra, baboon, warthog, giraffe, impala, elephant, hippo, wildebeest and the rare tree climbing lion. Return for dinner and overnight at Manyara Wildlife Safari Camp.

On your safari today you will be exploring the heart of the Serengeti, Seronera Valley. Day 12

The Ngorongoro crater

An en-route game drive will take you out from the flat grassy plains of the Serengeti to the rugged forested hills of the Ngorongoro Highlands, passing picturesque Masai villages along the way. Your destination today is the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the top highlights of a trip to northern Tanzania.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers a unique biosphere which has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. The crater is the most densely populated wildlife area in the world, with an estimated 25,000 animals roaming the grassy crater floor.

Deep within the crater, enclosed by towering walls, you have a good chance of spotting ‘The Big 5’: lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard. Depending on the time of year, you may also see flocks of pink flamingos around the shores of the shallow Lake Magadi, while the surrounding swamp area is inhabited by large pods of hippos.
