Upon your arrival at either the Kilimanjaro or Arusha airports, your personal driver-guide will be there to meet you. They will then drive you to your accommodations in Arusha, where you will have dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3

After breakfast you’ll transfer to Serengeti National Park. We’ll begin the day with a drive towards the Serengeti. Along the way we’ll pass through the mist-laden rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Here you might be lucky enough to catch glimpses of cape buffaloes, baboons, elephants, and even leopards concealed in the dense undergrowth.
Your lodge here is perched atop a hill that offers panoramic views of the Central Serengeti, extending towards the Western Serengeti. Its proximity to legendary sites, including the iconic Masai kopjes, the Olduvai Gorge Museum, the Seronera Valley, and the Grumeti River, makes the Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge an ideal base for exploration.

Our balloon experience (optional) commences before dawn. You’ll be picked up as early as 0400hrs and transported to the balloon launch site. As the balloon’s envelope inflates through fans powered by a mobile generator, you will receive a briefing on safety precautions and an overview of what you are likely to witness. At approximately 06:30hrs, just as the sun is poised to emerge above the horizon, you board the balloon. The basket, equipped with compartments and safety rails, is sufficiently deep to provide a sense of security and stability. Once all passengers are aboard, the pilot will ignite the burner, the balloon will release, and you’ll ascend into the skies.
Over the next hour (flight times vary from 50 to 70 minutes), you gracefully drift above the plains, guided by the winds and monitored by the ground crew in their accompanying vehicles. Depending on the weather conditions, you may fly over the forest, allowing you to glimpse vultures and baboons.

After an early breakfast, we’ll transfer to Ngorongoro, where you will descend some 600 meters into the crater to immerse yourself in the true spirit of Africa. Your adventure unfolds within the comfort of a specially crafted 4x4 vehicle designed exclusively for game viewing. This is a unique opportunity to encounter the Big Five in a magnificent world wonder. Elephants, buffaloes, leopards, lions, and the elusive black rhinoceros, along with hyenas, jackals, and hippos, contribute to the unparalleled beauty and uniqueness of this crater.
Our accommodations here are comprised of 50 Deluxe rooms and two-bedroom luxury villas, all boasting panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
