Day 1

Arrival Upington | Transfer to Kgalagadi
Beginning in Upington, where you are welcomed by your guide at the airport with flights arriving before 13h00. We travel up into the desert region of the Kgalagadi, arriving at the Park in the afternoon (2 and a half-hour drive).
Depending on the time, lunch is enjoyed on the way. We enjoy an afternoon game drive to our camp for the evening. Arrive at our first camp and settle in. Dinner is enjoyed around an open fire under the night sky.
We can arrange for flights to Upington if you wish.

Day 2
Exploring the Auob River
Exploring the Auob River
Today is a typical safari day in the Kgalagadi. We head out early in the morning at sunrise for a game drive. Enjoy searching the wilderness for animals for about 4 hours. Return to camp for a hearty breakfast, and relax there during the heat of the day. Beautiful views from your deck into the bush and a swimming pool are on offer.
During the afternoon, we head out again for a sunset drive searching for wildlife. Return to camp for dinner, and enjoy the evening listening to the sounds of the bush and looking at the incredible starry skies in this wilderness region!

Day 3

Same itinerary as yesterday, DAY 2.
We further explore the Auob River, but today we head into the interior land between the 2 major 'rivers' here, exploring the vast dunes and enjoying the changing vista. We stop over regularly to stretch legs and enjoy breakfast, before returning to camp.

Day 4
Pack up Camp and Head Across to Lion Territory
Pack up Camp and Head Across to Lion Territory
This morning we take it easy and break camp whilst enjoying breakfast. We transfer today to another section of the Park, well known for its lion prides. Enjoy a 4 hour or so game drive from Mata Mata to Nossob region. We stop along the way at picnic spots to stretch legs and bathroom breaks. Arrive at Nossob camp around midday, enjoying lunch here before setting up camp.
Settle into camp and relax. In the late afternoon, we enjoy a short drive to a nearby waterhole, taking full advantage of the Golden Hour for photography, and hoping to see animals come to drink in the cooling evening. Return to camp for dinner.

Day 5

Exploring Northwards to 'World's End'
For our morning excursion, we travel the 160km or so northwards to where three countries meet; Namibia, Botswana, and South Africa! It is an incredibly scenic drive, with the possibility of good game viewing.
We stopover for regular breaks, enjoying the solitude of this seldom traveled region, before returning to camp in the early afternoon after a hearty breakfast.
Relax back at camp and enjoy the local hide (blind) over-looking the waterhole in the late afternoon, waiting and watching to see which animals turn up. We enjoy a hearty dinner at camp.

Day 6

Exploring the Nossob River
A Typical day on safari, as with Day 5. We are now fully into the Kgalagadi experience, and hopefully begin to appreciate the smaller wildlife, such as the raptors, meerkats, mongoose, etc.
Nossob is a region well known for its predators, like Lion, Leopard, and Brown Hyena.

Day 7
Onto Accommodation to end our Expedition in Style and Comfort
Onto Accommodation to end our Expedition in Style and Comfort
This morning we take it easy and break camp and enjoy breakfast. Today we transfer and explore the last section of this magnificent Park. We head down south along the Nossob River, stopping along the way to enjoy bathroom breaks.
We transfer today to Twee Rivieren Rest Camp, the main post of the camp. Meaning Two Rivers, this camp is at the confluence of the Nossob and Auob Rivers, so different routes and an abundance of wildlife occur here.
We check into our chalets to enjoy some luxury after camping, and settle during the afternoon. Enjoy dinner tonight.

Day 8-9

Typical Kalahari Exploration | Two Rivers
Day 8 is a typical day on Kgalagadi Safari. This evening we enjoy the special occasion of a night drive, searching for the nocturnal animals of the bush; brown hyena, porcupine, owls, etc.
On Day 9, we enjoy our final full day on Safari, searching for anything we haven't yet seen and visiting the nearby museum (showcasing the harsh life of the pioneers in this region). Our final dinner is enjoyed at the local restaurant in style!

On our final morning, enjoy either a relaxed one, or head out on a final early morning game drive.
We then travel back down to Upington Airport for flights out or own itinerary.
