Arusha National Park and short walking
Arusha National Park offers a unique blend of landscapes, from lush montane forests and sparkling lakes to the dramatic backdrop of Mount Meru. Unlike other parks, Arusha is perfect for exploring on foot.
One of the highlights is a guided walking safari through the forest, where you’ll encounter colobus monkeys, giraffes, and a variety of birdlife. The walk leads to a beautiful waterfall tucked deep within the forest, where the cool mist and tranquil surroundings provide a refreshing and memorable experience.
It’s the perfect way to enjoy the park’s natural beauty up close, away from the vehicle and immersed in nature.

After an early breakfast, you will drive up to the crater rim, where you will have some spectacular views. You will then descend the 600 meters (approximately 2,000 feet) into the crater floor for what promises to be an exciting day of wildlife encounters. Explore the forest areas inhabited by monkeys and elephants; the lake area, where you may see flamingos; and the open savannah, where the lions hunt for food. If you are very lucky, you might even have the chance to see the elusive black rhino! You will stop for a picnic lunch at the hippo pool inside the crater.
