Pick up in Kigali and transfer to Volcanoes National Park

A Bamboo Ecotours driver/guide will pick you up at the hotel in Kigali or at Kigali International Airport between 7am and 11am and transfer you to Volcanoes National Park. If interested, visit the Kigali Genocide Museum before driving to Musanze/Ruhengeri. After the museum visit, we will drive to Volcanoes National Park in northern Rwanda. The drive to Volcanoes National Park will pass through northern Rwanda’s landscape via Musanze, formerly known as Ruhengeri. Check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight. If interested, visit the Gorilla Guardian's Village (Ibyiwacu Cultural Centre) to learn about the Rwandan people and culture.

Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park & drive back to Kigali

You will head to the Volcanoes National Park gate immediately after breakfast to get a briefing about the gorilla trek. The national park guide will present what to expect during the gorilla trek. The national park guide will assign the gorilla trekking group during the pre-trekking briefing. Other visitors will likely join you. The gorilla trek can take a few hours, depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forest. After the gorilla trek, we will drive back to Kigali, marking the end of our 2-day gorilla trek. We will drop you off at the hotel in Kigali or at Kigali International Airport.
