Day 1
Pick up in Kigali and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Pick up in Kigali and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
A Bamboo Ecotours driver/guide will pick you up in Kigali between 7am and 2pm and transfer you to Volcanoes National Park. If interested, visit the Kigali Genocide Museum before driving to Musanze/Ruhengeri. After the museum visit, we will drive to Volcanoes National Park in northern Rwanda. The drive to Volcanoes National Park will go through northern Rwanda’s landscape via Musanze, formally Ruhengeri. Check-in at the lodge for dinner and overnight. If interested, visit the Gorilla Guardian's Village (Ibyiwacu Cultural Centre) to learn about the Rwandan people and culture.

Day 2
Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park & drive back to Kigali
Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park & drive back to Kigali
You will head to the Volcanoes National Park gate immediately after breakfast to get a briefing about the gorilla trek. The national park guide will present what to expect during the gorilla trek. The national park guide will assign the gorilla trekking group during the pre-trekking briefing. Other visitors will likely join you. The gorilla trek can take a few hours, depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forest. After the gorilla trek, we will drive back to Kigali, and this will be the end of the 2-day gorilla trek.
