Day 2

Balule Game Reserve then to Treehouse Lodge

Awaken at sunrise for an exhilarating day of unforgettable bush life. Drive to a remote part of the Balule Game Reserve for an enjoyable bush walk with an experienced field guide. The thrill of following Africa’s large animals will remain with you forever. Get up close to the animals for photo opportunities and experience an adrenaline rush, even with the presence of your armed ranger. Afterward, return to the game lodge for brunch.

At around 15h00, we go on an afternoon game drive. We then transfer to the Treehouse Lodge where accommodation is in fascinating and romantic treehouses. These treehouses are not actually built in a tree branch, but are wooden cabins between trees for the treehouse feeling. Some are on the ground and others are elevated. The units are assigned according to group size (some cater to single travelers, some to couples and others to families). Some units have en-suite bathrooms and others share bathrooms between a few units.

Day 3

Kruger National Park Game Drive

Kruger National Park Game Drive

Drive to the Orpen Gate of Kruger in a custom-built open-sided game viewer. See a huge variety of African wildlife such as giraffe, wild dog, lion, leopard, and elephant (depending on your luck). You will have an opportunity to view the game without intervening glass windows and will be able to smell and listen to the residents of the bush. It is a wonderful learning experience in the wide open spaces of the wild. We have regular stops at picnic spots, restaurants, and places of interest (take-aways are recommended on a longer day drive).

The Orpen-Satara-Nwandezi regions' open plains attract large herds of zebra, giraffe and antelope that, in turn, attract many predators. In fact, this zone has the highest concentration of lions in Africa.
