Day 1

Nairobi - Amboseli National Park

Nairobi - Amboseli National Park

0800 Hours: After breakfast at the hotel in Nairobi, we depart by road and drive through the scenic Athi Plains and into the bush country of Amboseli National Park.
The park is home to the legendary Masai tribesmen and is famous for huge herds of elephants.
1200 Hours:
We will be arriving at a good time for lunch, later followed by relaxation sessions, swimming, and enjoying the camps/lodge grounds.
1500 Hours: We have our afternoon tea/ coffee/ hot chocolate before setting out on the afternoon game drive until dusk.
Amboseli National Park is home to wild animals, which include the African elephant, buffalo, impala, lion, cheetah, hyena, giraffes, zebra, and wildebeest among other African animals.
The park also hosts a good number of birds.
Your guide who is also a professional birder will help you identify a good number of birding species.
1830 Hours: Return to Amboseli Kibo mid-range tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Amboseli – Lake Nakuru National Park

Amboseli – Lake Nakuru National Park

0800 Hours: After breakfast, we head back towards Nairobi and continue driving through the stunning scenery of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley to explore Lake Nakuru National Park.
Along the way, we make a brief stopover at the Rift Valley viewpoint for a morning view of the Majestic Mt. Longonot and the breathtaking view of the Rift Valley.

1100 Hours: Arrive in Lake Nakuru National Park and proceed directly on a game drive.
1300 Hours: Enjoy your picnic lunch at the Baboon Cliff Viewpoint. After lunch proceed on another game drive. Lake Nakuru birdlife is world-renowned and offers over 400 species of both aquatic and terrestrial birds.

Lake Nakuru animals include Black and White Rhino, buffalo, leopard, lion, Rothschild’s giraffe, White and Black Colobus monkey, eland, steenbok, impala, Chandlers Reedbuck, dik-dik, rock hyrax, klipspringer, hippo, and clawless otter.

1800 Hours: Return to Lake Nakuru Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Game Reserve

0800 Hours: We depart the hotel after breakfast this morning and drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara Game Reserve.
This enormous reserve is part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration. It is home to the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo, and Rhino.
1300 Hours: Lunch at our Lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon ‘Spice” game drive.
1530 Hours: The Mara Game Reserve is one of the greatest wildernesses in the world. Large mammals are varied and easy to see.

Residents among the Parks are Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland, and thousands of plain games including Impala, Zebra, Topi, Thomson’s, and Grants Gazelles.
Also, get to enjoy an optional walking safari (with an armed guide along the Mara River). A nature walk is also available led by the Masai Warrior
1830 Hours: Return to Enkorok Mara Camp for Dinner and overnight

Day 4

Masai Mara Game Reserve Explorer

Our full day in the Masai Mara Game Reserve will be spared for the search of the big cats of the Masai Mara and the spectacular view of the famous migration.

All of the “Big Five” animals (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo) can be spotted here. Herds of plains zebras are found throughout the park.

Other animals include giraffes, jackals, gnus, warthogs, gazelles, hartebeests, hyenas, bat-eared foxes, Topi antelope, hippos, and crocodiles in the Mara River.

For bird lovers, the Mara birds come in every color and size. More than 400 bird species have already been recorded, including birds of prey.

You can enjoy a colorful view of birds such as vultures, ostriches, long-crested eagles, pygmy falcons, secretary birds, marabous, red-winged Schalow’s turaco's many others.

Day 5

0600 Hours: If you are not participating in the hot air balloon, you enjoy morning tea/ coffee or Hot chocolate followed by a morning game drive.

On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive Cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia trees.

0930 Hours: Return to the lodge/ camp for breakfast.
1000 Hours: Optional visit to an authentic Masai village (at an extra cost) to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals.
1100 Hours: Depart the Mara by road back to Nairobi arriving in the late afternoon.
