Day 1
Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park
You will be picked up from your hotel or the Nairobi Airport and transferred to Wilson Airport for the scheduled flight to Amboseli National Park. You will be met at the airstrip and depart on your first game drive en route to Tortilis Camp. After lunch, you have some leisure time.
At 16h00, you will go on an afternoon game drive. Amboseli National Park supports a wide range of wildlife, particularly elephants roaming in large herds. With Mount Kilimanjaro in the background, it is the scene of many classic African safari shots. A section of the park is a seasonal lake, the remainder being swamplands, fed by melting snow from Kilimanjaro and the savannah woodland.

Day 2
Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park
You have a full day available for game viewing in Amboseli National Park. In between game drives, you may wish to take a guided game walk outside the park or relax at the swimming pool. You might be lucky to see masses of birdlife, bat-eared fox (a very rare sighting), giraffe, lion, buffalo, cheetah, and non-migrating wildebeest. For getting your game-spotting eye "in", Amboseli is ideal. Look out for Thomson’s gazelle and how they differ from impala. See Maasai giraffe, Burchell’s or plains zebra, and plenty of spotted hyena (known as "spotties" (there are no brown hyena here).
All meals and your overnight stay are at Tortilis Camp.

The Masai Mara is the most famous and popular safari destination in Kenya, if not anywhere in Africa. The appeal of the Mara and adjacent private/community conservancies isn’t difficult to explain. Its mosaic of rolling hills, open grassland and acacia woodland supports a quite incredible profusion and variety of wildlife. The reserve truly blossoms between August and October, when the legendary wildebeest migration - perhaps the world’s most breathtaking wildlife spectacle - crosses into Kenya from Tanzania.
