Day 1

You will be picked up from your hotel or the airport and transferred to Tarangire National Park. Known for its excellent birdwatching opportunities, the park is also home to large numbers of elephants. During the dry season, the Tarangire River is the only water source in the area, attracting many animals. The park’s landscape is particularly interesting, with numerous baobab trees, and it’s also home to the tree climbing python. In addition to its birdlife, the park offers great game driving experiences.
Around lunchtime, the guide will provide a hot lunch at a picnic site before continuing with the afternoon game drive. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 2

After breakfast, you will depart for a game drive en route to the Serengeti. The drive from Mto wa Mbu to the Serengeti covers 231 km, taking approximately 4-5 hours. Upon arrival in the Central Serengeti, you will enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing with an afternoon game drive.
Serengeti National Park is a must-visit destination. Spanning a vast area in northwestern Tanzania, it is home to over 70 mammal species, including large populations of lions and other predators, as well as more than 500 bird species. Known for the incredible Great Migration that passes through the area seasonally, the Serengeti also offers the breathtaking spectacle of river crossings. Though these crossings occur at specific times, the timing remains unpredictable, influenced by the rainfall patterns. This is an incredibly beautiful park with diverse flora and fauna.
Dinner and your overnight stay will be at a campsite inside the park.

Day 3

Today, you will start with an early morning game drive around 6:30 am in the Central Serengeti. After the drive, you will continue exploring the park with a game drive before having a picnic lunch at the campsite. Later, you will pack your things and proceed with a game drive en route to the Ngorongoro Highlands. The distance from the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater is approximately 149 km, which takes around two hours and 45 minutes. Upon arrival at the campsite, you will enjoy a delicious dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 4

In the morning, you will have breakfast at the camp before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive. During the drive, the guide will share the fascinating history of the crater and its formation. Afterward, you will enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool. In the late afternoon, you will ascend the crater and head to Mto wa Mbu for dinner and your overnight stay at the lodge.
The Ngorongoro Crater, a collapsed volcano covering 260 km², is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It offers a stunning variety of habitats, including montane forests, grasslands, acacia forests, salt lakes, and swamps. These diverse landscapes are home to an impressive array of wildlife, including the “Big Five”. In the crater, you’ll find a high concentration of animals such as lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, and leopards, along with hippos, crocodiles, zebras, and numerous antelope species. The crater offers some of the best game viewing in Africa, set against breathtaking scenery.

Day 5

Have breakfast at the lodge, then drive to the Hadzabe village for a cultural visit to the Hadzabe tribe near Lake Eyasi. Around lunchtime, your guide will provide a hot lunch at a picnic site. In the evening, you will drive back to Arusha for dinner and your overnight stay.
Visiting the Hadzabe tribe is one of the most fascinating cultural experiences you can have in East Africa. As the last remaining hunter-gatherer tribe in Tanzania, spending time with them offers a rare glimpse into a way of life that has changed little for thousands of years. Accompanying the Hadzabe on a hunt takes you back to a different era. Walks can range from five to eight kilometers and may move quickly if game is spotted. You may also have the chance to join the women for a short walk and learn how their families survive in the harsh environment around Lake Eyasi.

Day 6
Lake Eyasi - Mount Kilimanjaro - Arusha

Start driving to the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro at around 8:00 am. The distance from Arusha to Kilimanjaro is approximately 83 km, taking about one hour and 45 minutes.
Today you will visit the Materuni Waterfalls. Materuni is home to the Chagga tribe and remains a traditional village nestled on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Along the way, your guide will share insights about Chagga culture and explain the local flora and fauna. You will take part in cultural activities, including a visit to a coffee plantation, where you will learn how coffee is cultivated, dried, roasted, and processed. You’ll hike around the waterfalls and enjoy traditional songs performed during the coffee-making demonstration. In the afternoon, you’ll also get to taste a soup made from bananas.
At the end of the day, your tour concludes with a return to Arusha.
