After breakfast, we collect our picnic lunch boxes and then take a short and pleasant morning drive to Tarangire National Park. On arrival at the gate, our driver will do all the government procedures. Thereafter, we will proceed for a full-day game drive in the park, located slightly off the main safari route. Day 2
Manyara Region - Ngorongoro Conservation (Ndutu) Area
Manyara Region - Ngorongoro Conservation (Ndutu) Area
Distance: 150 km / 3-hr drive
Have an early wake-up, and depart to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in Ndutu after breakfast. Ndutu is a real hotspot for wildlife during these rainy months. Wildebeest and the accompanying zebra, often in their tens of thousands, choose the Ndutu area as a part of the wildebeest migration. It forms an integral part of the annual ritual. Where the herds wander, the predator is never far away, so the wildlife viewing here can be dramatic. A fascinating landscape is the setting for our afternoon game drive today. In the distance lie nine dormant and one active volcano. In times gone by, it was the ash that blew in this direction, that shaped the soil here. Ndutu is located partially in the Serengeti, and partially in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Resident wildlife includes populations of lion, cheetah and hyena. Keep your eyes open for the lesser-spotted wildlife like aardvark, porcupine and civet cat.

Day 3
Ngorongoro Conservation (Ndutu)
Ngorongoro Conservation (Ndutu)
Ndutu can be considered in many respects as a continuation of the endless plains of the southern Serengeti. But as it actually lies in part within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, there is the possibility (ground conditions permitting) to go ‘off-road’, which is permissible here. A characteristic feature of this area is the collection of small, salty, lakes, whose water allows wildlife to exist here year-round. Among the most important of the watercourses is Lake Masek, which is comparatively deep and thus remains more or less unchanged throughout the year. The nearby Lake Ndutu is shallower and varies greatly according to the seasons, fed by a combination of rainfall, springs and rivers. At this time of the year, Ndutu is one of the best places to see migrating herds who seek out the short, nutritious grass and choose this area to give birth. The richness of the vegetation gives them the best chance of survival, but with predators everywhere, survival is by no means guaranteed.

Ngorongoro Conservation / Ndutu Area - Serengeti National Park (Central Seronera)
Distance: 90 km / 2-hr drive
This morning, you will head to the familiar, famous park, the Serengeti National Park, also called "the endless plains”. This park is well-known for its healthy stock of resident wildlife, particularly the "Big Five" (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo).
Serengeti, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to around 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle that join the wildebeest trek for fresh grazing. Listen to the exotic sounds of over 6 million hooves pounding the open plains of the Serengeti - just like you imagined the African wildlife to be. After a long day of safari, you will drive to your accommodation for evening leisure and your overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater Tour - Kilimanjaro International Airport
Ngorongoro Crater Tour - Kilimanjaro International Airport
Distance: 245 km / 4-hr drive
After breakfast, we depart for our tour in the crater. The crater has a population of around 120 lions with well-defined territories, 15,000 wildebeests, 9,000 zebras, 400 hyenas and around 50 black rhinos. Many wildebeest and other herd animals are residents benefiting from the many sources of year-round water, and are boosted by some migrators in season. Buffalo, Thomson’s gazelle and eland are also present in numbers. Hippos can be found in the pools and swampland, and highland birds are colorful and plentiful around the waters. Flamingos can often be seen in Lake Magadi, which occupies part of the crater floor. Later, after your tour in the crater, drive to Arusha / Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward plans.
