1-Day Culture Tour-Community Immersion in Rwanda

• You'll be collected from the airport.

After pick-up from your hotel in Kigali, you will begin a cultural tour exploring some of Rwanda’s most important historical and cultural sites. The day includes a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial (Kwibuka Center), where you will gain deeper insight into Rwanda’s history, resilience, and journey of reconciliation.

You will also explore local craft markets, curio shops, and shopping centers, offering opportunities to discover Rwanda’s famous handicrafts and interact with local artisans.

The experience continues with a visit to a traditional rural homestead, where you will learn about Rwanda’s pastoral culture. Meet cattle keepers and observe how the iconic long-horned cows are cared for and milked. You will also learn how milk is traditionally processed into products such as ghee and yogurt.

Enjoy a vibrant cultural performance and participate in preparing a traditional meal with a local family before returning to your hotel in Kigali.
