Transfer from Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest NP Uganda

Our guide will pick you up from Kigali International Airport or your hotel and brief you about your tour. Before your journey to Uganda, you will have an opportunity to tour the city of Kigali and important sites like the genocide memorial center. After touring the city, you will embark on a 4-hour drive to Bwindi through katuna (Uganda – Rwanda border).

After Katuna, we will head to Bweza Lodge at the edge of Bwindi Forest National Park. This journey will give you an opportunity to see the beautiful countryside and landscapes in Rwanda and Uganda. Rwanda has eye-catching rolling hills and plantations, while Uganda has dense green forests, on arrival if time allows we will Visit the Batwa Village of Rushaga and a community school to give a diver into a closer look at the culture of the once forest dwellers and how they now live and how thies lives have changed,

Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge with cool views of Bwindi Forest National Park.

Gorilla tracking and transfer back to Kigali

You will wake up early for breakfast before our guide picks you up and transfers you to the park offices. Upon arrival, you will receive a briefing and important information about gorilla tracking.

You will then be assigned to a specific gorilla group and given the option to hire a porter for USD 20. Your lodge will provide a packed lunch and drinking water to carry with you during the trek.

Gorilla trekking can take anywhere from 2 to 8 hours, depending on the location of your assigned gorilla family on that day. Once you encounter the gorillas, you will have the opportunity to take photos while following the guides’ instructions for a safe and respectful experience.

After completing the trek, you will return to your hotel to freshen up, relax, and enjoy a drink or meal before checking out. Thereafter, we will transfer you back to Kigali International Airport or your hotel.
