Your Kenya-Tanzania budget wildlife safari starts with a confirmed pickup, followed by a transfer to our office for a briefing and introduction. The safari starts between 08:00 and 08:30, with a drive via the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to witness the escarpment. Get information from your Kenya safari guide. Travel to Narok town for shopping, and continue driving to Miti Mingi for lunch, check-in, and a short siesta.

Later in the afternoon, visit the Masaai village, see the sunset, and drive back to the camp for dinner, a bonfire, and overnight.

Safari Experience in Masai Mara

Your day is scheduled for a safari experience in the Masai Mara National Reserve, often called the jewel of the wildlife-viewing area. Have breakfast at the campsite, then leave with packed picnic lunch boxes for an extensive game drive. Explore the Masai Mara National Reserve and encounter wild animals up close. Search for the Big Five and other wild animals.

The day sightseeing includes large herds of elephants, herds of buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, antelopes, gazelles, zebras, giraffes, elands, hippos, and crocodiles, among others. Break for a picnic lunch in the open wilderness, then continue the search till late evening. Exit the game reserve and drive to the camp for dinner, a bonfire and overnight.

Have breakfast at the budget Nakuru hotel, then check out and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park for a 4-hour game drive.

Lake Nakuru National Park is one of the most beautiful national parks in Kenya. Over a million flamingos can be found here, depending on the lake's water level. The park is home to many bird species, offering you sweet, melodious sounds and a nature experience like no other. Lake Nakuru National Park is also home to the endangered black and white rhinoceros.

Other wild animals, including lions, buffaloes, monkeys, baboons, gazelles, giraffes, and zebras, are also common. Before noon, exit Lake Nakuru National Park and drive to Amboseli National Park with a stopover for lunch on the main highway. Dinner and overnight are at Amboseli Kimana Tented Camp.

Amboseli Safari Experience

Enjoy an African breakfast at the campsite with the immense views of Mount Kilimanjaro, if the weather permits. Proceed to the campsite for a full-day safari experience across Amboseli National Park. Transverse the Amboseli plains with a game drive. Visit the Amboseli viewpoint for thrilling views and continue the game search till you reach the base of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Break for a picnic lunch, and later, with a game drive, move to the swampy Amboseli area, where the abundant elephants bathe as they graze on wet grass. Other animals visit in search of drinking water, as the area is the only source during the Dry season. By 17:00, after a great Amboseli National Park experience, exit the park and drive (2 hours) to the campsite for dinner, a bonfire, and overnight.

Day 6

Amboseli - Arusha

After an early breakfast at the campsite, check out, and drive to Amboseli National Park with a game drive en route to the Namanga border. It is approximately a 2.5-hour drive from Amboseli Kimana Gate to Amboseli Mashenani Gate. Exit the park and drive to the Namanga border for immigration and health matters. At around 10:00, the shuttle from Nairobi will pick you up for a transfer to Arusha town, where your Kenya-Tanzania budget wildlife safari will continue for the next 4 days as you cover the northern Tanzanian parks. Dinner and overnight will be at the Ambassador Hotel in Arusha.

Our professional driver-guide will meet you at the Ambassador Hotel in the morning for a briefing. Depart Arusha with packed picnic lunches and drive to Lake Manyara for the day's sightseeing. Lake Manyara is a soda ash lake with huge flocks of flamingos and breathtaking scenery.

The park is also famous for its tree-climbing lions, a large number of elephants, giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, warthogs, baboons, and lesser-known wildlife like dik-diks and klipspringers. Dinner and overnight will be at Fanaka.

Our Kenya-Tanzania budget wildlife safari continues to Serengeti National Park. After breakfast, we head to Serengeti via the Olduvai Gorge Museum, where early man appeared a million years ago. You can visit the museum at an extra cost of 40$ per person (optional).

Upon arrival, we will head to the Serengeti National Park, which is widely known for the greatest wildlife spectacle - the great migration of wildebeest. The plains are also home to a resident population of elephants, cheetahs, lions, giraffes, and birds. Dinner and overnight will be at the temporary tents in Central Serengeti.

After breakfast, you will have your final game drive in Serengeti National Park, known for the great wildebeest migration and many animals. Cover the Central Serengeti and Mawe area in search of more wild animals, and visit the Serengeti kopjes in search of lion prides. Enjoy a picnic lunch, then exit Serengeti National Park and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservancy area. Optionally, you can visit the local community. On this day of the Kenya-Tanzania budget wildlife safari, after breakfast, you will leave with a packed lunch and descend 600 m into the Ngorongoro Crater for a 6-hour game drive. The crater has a stunning landscape of vast woodlands, savannahs, forests, and highlands.

This, combined with a high concentration of wildlife, ranging from the endangered rhinos, the big cats, which include lions, elusive leopard, cheetahs, etc. and others like zebras, buffaloes, elands, warthogs, hippos, and giant African elephants, makes it one of the most beautiful natural wonders in the world.

Later, you will drive back to Arusha with a drop-off at the Ambassador Hotel, booked on a bed-and-breakfast basis.
