Day 1-2

Lebala Camp

Lebala Camp

Upon arrival at Maun, guests will proceed on a scheduled charter flight to the camp. The charter might have up to 3 stops before reaching your camp. Have lunch at the camp. You will spend 2 nights at Lebala Camp, fully inclusive of all meals and beverages. At 15h00, we have high tea before departing for a 2.5-hour game activity at 15h30. We return to the camp at 18h00 for dinner and overnight.

The camp sits on the floodplains of the Kwando River and the special ecosystem is home to a wide variety of Africa’s plains game such as zebra, wildebeest, impala, giraffe, and tsessebe. The wonderful variety of wildlife also includes elephant, hippo, buffalo and the ever-present predators like lion, cheetah and hyena. Lebala’s location away from the dense mopane woodland to the east of the reserve, facilitates the ease of traversing the concession looking for big game.

Splash Camp

Splash Camp

After breakfast at the camp, we transfer on a scheduled charter flight from Selinda Reserve to the Okavango Delta. We spend 2 nights at Splash Camp, fully inclusive of all meals and beverages. At 15h30, we depart on an afternoon game activity, either a 4x4 game drive, or a water activity, i.e. mokoro/motorboat game viewing. We return to the lodge at 18h00 for dinner and overnight at the camp.

The area has long been known as Splash due to the huge water crossings that had to be negotiated to access the camp area. Splash Camp is located in the Kwara Reserve and shares a 30km water boundary with the famous Moremi Game Reserve. Its unique location boasts both permanent water and seasonal flood plains, as well as extensive dry bush wilderness. Favoured by labyrinths of permanent water channels and secret islands, this area offers the perfect delta experience.

Tau Pan is the first semi-permanent camp inside the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and offers truly incredible views from the elevated ridge of an ancient sand dune, an unusual experience in a land as flat as Botswana. It overlooks the famous Tau Pan - recognised for its stark beauty and remoteness. Activities offered at Tau Pan are game drives, day trips to the well-known Deception Valley, Sunday, Piper and Passarge Pans, star gazing, and nature walks with Bushman trackers.

"Tau", which means lion in Setswana, is so named for the pride of iconic black-maned Kalahari lions who frequent the camp.
