Begin your journey from Kigali with a scenic drive toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda. Travel through Rwanda’s rolling hills, often referred to as the “Land of a Thousand Hills,” before crossing the border into Uganda via Cyanika or Katuna.
As you continue, enjoy breathtaking views of the Virunga ranges and the lush countryside leading toward Bwindi. The journey is relatively short compared to routes from Entebbe, making it a convenient and time-saving option for gorilla trekking.
Upon arrival in the Rushaga or Nkuringo sector, check in at your lodge and relax, surrounded by the beauty of the rainforest, as you prepare for your upcoming gorilla trekking experience.

Early in the morning, report to the park headquarters in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with your packed lunch for a briefing by a senior ranger guide. After the briefing, you will be assigned to a gorilla family and an experienced ranger who will lead you into the forest.
Enter the dense rainforest and experience its beauty and freshness as you begin your trek in search of the endangered mountain gorillas. The duration of the trek varies depending on where the gorillas nested the previous night. Once you locate the group, you will spend up to one hour observing these gentle giants as they feed, groom their young, play, and interact in their natural habitat.
After this unforgettable encounter, trek back to your lodge for a well-deserved hot lunch. Spend the afternoon at leisure, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

After breakfast, depart from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and begin your scenic transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey takes you through the beautiful landscapes of southwestern Uganda, with rolling hills, rural communities, and expansive savannah gradually unfolding as you approach the park.
Depending on the season, we may pass through the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions, offering a chance for an en-route game drive. Keep an eye out for elephants, buffalo, and other wildlife along the way.
Arrive at your lodge in the evening, relax, and prepare for the exciting wildlife experiences that await in one of Uganda’s most diverse national parks.

Begin your day with an early-morning game drive at 6:30 am, offering the best chance to spot predators such as lions, leopards, and spotted hyenas as they return from their nocturnal hunts. As you explore the Kasenyi plains, keep an eye out for buffaloes, elephants, warthogs, topis, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, bushbucks, and bush duikers grazing across the savannah.
The park is also a bird lover’s paradise, with remarkable species such as the martial eagle, woodland kingfisher, great blue turaco, and grey plantain-eater among over 600 recorded bird species. After the game drive, return to the lodge for a late breakfast and some relaxation.
In the afternoon, head out for a boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel. This waterway hosts an incredible concentration of wildlife, including hippos, elephants, buffalo, and crocodiles along the shores. You will also spot numerous water birds such as African fish eagles, pelicans, and, occasionally, the rare shoebill stork. Return to the lod.

After breakfast, we will transfer to Kibale National Park, renowned for its high concentration of primates and home to the famous chimpanzees. En route, pass through Kasese while enjoying the breathtaking views of the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains, beautifully rising along the skyline.
Arrive in Kibale in time for lunch and check in at your lodge. In the afternoon, head to Fort Portal for a scenic crater lakes hike. This rewarding walk offers stunning views of the surrounding crater lakes and rolling hills, with elevated viewpoints overlooking the lush landscape and parts of the park.
After the hike, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, relaxing in the forest's peaceful atmosphere.

After an early morning breakfast, report to the park headquarters in Kibale National Park with your packed lunch for a briefing by the senior ranger guide. You will then proceed into the forest to track chimpanzees, mankind’s closest relatives, in their natural habitat.
During the trek, you are likely to encounter other primates such as olive baboons, red colobus monkeys, black-and-white colobus, red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys, along with a rich diversity of birdlife.
If time allows, you may enjoy an optional guided walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, known for its exceptional bird species and unique swamp ecosystem.
After your activities, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, reflecting on a day filled with remarkable wildlife encounters.

Day 7
Transfer from Kibale Forest National Park to Entebbe
Transfer from Kibale Forest National Park to Entebbe
After breakfast, depart from Kibale National Park and begin your scenic transfer back to Entebbe. The journey takes you through the beautiful countryside of western and central Uganda, with views of tea plantations, rural villages, and rolling landscapes along the way.
You will make a stop for lunch en route and, depending on time, enjoy a brief stop at the Equator for photos and a short break. Continue your drive to Entebbe, arriving later in the day.
This marks the end of your memorable safari, filled with incredible wildlife encounters and cultural experiences across Uganda.
