Day 1

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast early in the morning, your guide/driver will pick you up from your lodge and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Kyanika border. You will have a stopover at Kyanika for stretching, crossing the border and clearing the car and getting passports. You'll then proceed to the park via the beautiful countryside for photo moments with great views. Reach the park in the evening and check in at the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2

Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Ishasha Sector

Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Ishasha Sector

Wake up early in the morning and have your prepared breakfast at the lodge. You will then be handed your packed lunch for the day. Your guide will drive you to the park headquarters for your briefing on the dos and don’ts while trekking through the forest and when you are with the gorillas. On encountering the gorillas, you will be allowed one hour with the gorilla family taking photos and interacting with the great apes. You will then trek back to the park offices for your graduation and gorilla tracking certificates. Later in the evening, transfer to Ishasha Sector for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3

Game Drive in the Ishasha Sector and Transfer to Kasenyi Plains

Game Drive in the Ishasha Sector and Transfer to Kasenyi Plains

Wake up early in the morning for breakfast. Your guide will then drive you to the park for your morning game drive. Check in at the park as you start your game drive with expectations to encounter many animals including, Uganda kobs, lions, elephants, leopards and buffalos among others. Drive to Katunguru for lunch and prepare for the afternoon boat ride. After lunch, you will transfer to Kazinga Channel for your boat ride where you expect to see so many animals as they come by the lakeside to quench their thirst and take a bath. After 2 hours on the boat, you will then transfer back to your lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Have a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains to look for what we may have missed the previous day. The Kasenyi Plains are known for large herds of Uganda kobs, buffalos, lions and leopards. You'll then transfer to Lake Mburo National Park for giraffes, zebras and elands. These are only found in this park in the western region, the game drives help us to see all the browsers.

Day 5

Morning Walking Safari with Grazers

After early morning breakfast, we will check in at the park. Our accommodation is located just a few meters from the park and has a view that overlooks the vast part of the park. The park is an ideal place to do a walking safari with the towers of giraffes, dazzles of zebras and large herds of elands. Elands are the largest antelopes and can only be found here in Lake Mburo and Kidepo Valley National Park in the northeastern region. On your walking safari, you will get a chance to get up close with the grazers and take lots of pictures.

Later in the evening, encounter the Ankole long-horned cows near the park. This will give you a chance to learn about Ankole cultutre.

Day 6

Transfer to Entebbe international airport

Transfer to Entebbe international airport

After an early morning breakfast, check out and head for Entebbe. Have a stopover at the equator for photos and lunch, then proceed to have a rest at your lodge in Entebbe close to the lake. You can spend your evening at the beach and catch the sunsets, eat Lake Victoria's giant tilapia, bathe in white sand beaches as you wait to go back to your hotel.

Shoe Bill Trekking and Fly Out

Head to Mabamba for shoe bill trekking. Encounter this pre-historic bird, and more other birds on the trails as you padel your canoe through the swamp. Later in the afternoon, return to your lodge. Freshen up, have lunch and head to the air port. This marks the end of your tour.
