Continue towards the Seronera Valley, the wildlife-rich heart of Central Serengeti, where the abundance of water and prey attracts predators throughout the year. Wake to the sounds of the wild and set out after breakfast for a full day of exploration in Central Serengeti. The Seronera Valley is renowned for its exceptional concentration of wildlife, making it one of the best places to experience the Serengeti’s famous predator-prey drama.
Follow the morning activity across the plains, searching for lions resting beneath acacias, cheetahs scanning the grasslands, elusive leopards in the riverine trees and large herds of wildebeest, zebra and buffalo moving across the landscape. After an early breakfast, leave Central Serengeti behind and journey north through some of the most spectacular wilderness in Africa. The drive itself becomes part of the adventure, with an en-route game drive offering opportunities to encounter wildlife as you travel towards Kogatende and the Northern Serengeti.
During the migration season, this is the region where the great herds gather around the Mara River, creating one of the most dramatic chapters of their annual journey. Depending on the timing and movement of the herds, you may witness thousands of wildebeest and zebra gathering along the riverbanks, with the possibility of dramatic river-crossing activity. Arrive at Mara Mara Tented Lodge, where the remote setting places you deep in the Northern Serengeti, surrounded by untouched wilderness and the sounds of Africa.

Leaving the Serengeti behind, continue towards the Ngorongoro Highlands and the lush landscapes surrounding Karatu. Arrive at Ngorongoro Farm House, a peaceful countryside retreat surrounded by coffee plantations and beautiful gardens. After an early breakfast, descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for the final and unforgettable game drive of your safari. Often described as a natural wildlife sanctuary, the crater floor is home to an extraordinary concentration of animals, including lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas and, with luck, the endangered black rhinoceros.
Explore the crater’s diverse habitats, from open grasslands and wetlands to the shores of Lake Magadi, while surrounded by dramatic volcanic walls. Enjoy a picnic lunch in this extraordinary setting before ascending the crater and beginning your journey back to Arusha.
