Day 1

In the morning after breakfast, you will embark on the drive to Kibale National Park via Fort Portal. The drive will take you through beautiful green vegetation and tea plantations. Fort Portal Town is situated in the basement of Rwenzori Mountain referred to as the Mountains of the Moon.

Day 2

Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Swamp Walk

In the morning after breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters for a briefing about the flora and fauna found in the park. You will be allocated a chimpanzee group to visit. Afterward, you will start your journey into the forest in search of the chimps which are our closest relatives. Kibale is regarded as the primate capital in East Africa so you should expect to meet other primates along the way like the red-tailed monkeys, black and white Colobus, and blue-cheeked mangabey to mention a few.
In the afternoon after lunch, you will head for the Bigodi Swamp Walk in search of numerous bird life like the great blue turaco and small monkeys for example black and white Colobus.

Day 3

Kibale Forest National Park – Queen Elizabeth National Park

After having breakfast, you will embark on a drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will drive through the beautiful crater region with a lot of appealing sceneries including numerous crater lakes and beautiful countryside landscapes.

After lunch, go for a game drive. This savannah park is a haven for about 95 species of mammals that include Defassa waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, Lions, Topis, Hippos, Leopards, Bushbucks, side-stripped jackals, warthogs, spotted hyenas, African bush elephants, and Cape buffaloes among others.

Day 4

Game drive & Boat cruise on the Kazinga channel

Game drive & Boat cruise on the Kazinga channel

After an early morning breakfast, you will head for a morning game drive in search for Uganda kobs, Lions, Leopard, Elephants spotted Hyenas, Buffalos, Warthogs and different types of beautiful birds. This park alone boasts a population o of 600 different bird species, including winter visitor species.

In the afternoon after lunch, you will head for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channels. Kazinga is a natural canal that connects two rift valley lakes, that is Lake George and Lake Edward. During the cruise you will see more wildlife along the banks of the channel like Elephants, Buffalos, Hippos and different species of birds including the saddle billed stock, African fish eagle plus a number of winter visitor birds.

Day 5

Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, you will drive heading to the southern part of the park heading to the ishasha sector. Ishasha is famous for tree climbing Lions. The Northern Sector of Queen Elizabeth (Ishasha) is still pristine and untouched with only a handful of game vehicles found around the area at any time. Large herds of buffalo are common in Ishasha, as are Uganda Kob. You will not miss the elephant, waterbuck, bushbuck, and topi. The ‘super stars’ of the area are the tree climbing lions that can regularly be seen snoozing on a limb on one of the fig trees.

After Lunch you will embark on a drive heading to Bwindi impenetrable Forest National park home of mountain Gorillas. Arrive at your lodge in the evening and have a relaxed evening.

Day 6

After breakfast at your lodge, you will embark on a journey back to the capital. The drive will take you through the beautiful scenery of the western countryside of Uganda through lush green hills. You will have lunch along the way and a stopover at the Uganda Equator for souvenir shopping and a photo moment as you say goodbye to Uganda. You will arrive in the late afternoon and be transferred to your hotel or to the airport depending on your return home schedule.
